On August 23rd, my daughter and I purchased a used car from the dealership. My daughter goes to college in PA, but we both have South Carolina drivers licenses. The dealership said we'd need to get temporary tags and that when the title came to them in about 2 weeks, they would mail it to me so that I could get SC plates and tags and make the car legal. I emailed after 2 weeks and they said they had the title and were mailing it. After a week, I didn't receive anything so I texted them. I got a response on 9/22 that the "boss" mailed it out already. Since then, I have tried emails, texting, and calling. I have not received a response to any attempt and the voice mailbox is full so I am unable to leave a message. The temporary tags expire on 10/23/23 and where I live in South Carolina (*********), the DMV is only open once per week. I need to get the title to the car we purchased and tired of waiting for the dealership to respond. I need them to confirm what day they sent it and to what address.

      hello,

I already have spoken to the customer and explained everything for them over the phone and numerous texts.

After speaking with Penndot here, I was told to mail out the title to them in which I do with all my out of state customers, because there is an open spot for them to enter their information so they can register a car.

For some reason SC was having issue with this. They asked for Pa Title.

I simply told customer to mail it back, so I can flip this title to a Pennsylvania title and I can send it right back to them.

I'm still waiting on them to mail back the Title to me  so I can flip the title and mail it back to the customer

      Thanks,

      *****

      Hello,

after speaking with customer today, there was actually NO issue with the title that we mailed to him from the beginning.  He ended up getting the car registered without having to send the title back.

       Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:  So, his comment is wrong.  My daughter had to work directly with the PA DMV and SC DMV to get what was needed to secure a title / tags.  We waited 6 weeks for them to mail a title that they could have given us that day.  We were not given the right paperwork, but fortunately, we were able to work it out by getting all parties on the phone..  If you want, you may close the complaint since everything is resolved, but not because I am satisfied with the customers response or how they handled our sale..  I simply resolved the issue on my own by going to PA DMV myself vs paying $75 to them and waiting who knows how long.   At this point, I need nothing further from them, but would like this complaint to remain visable so that others are aware of what they are potentially getting into.

      Regards,
