3 tenants occupied ********************************************************** for the September 2023- May 2024 academic year. Tenants paid Lila Delman Real Estate $3,800 in security deposit back in spring 2023. Per lease, security deposit must be refunded back to tenants within 20 days of turning in keys to **** Delman (May 21st, 2024). Since tenants were not notified of any damage on the property that needs to be paid for, security deposit should be sent back to tenants. Landlord is withholding the security deposit of $3,800 and **** Delman is claiming they cannot do anything about it despite having a contract with the landlord.Initial Complaint

********************************************* represented a buyer of my property located at *************************************************************. The closing took place on December 10, 2021. An escrow amount of $750 was held for a final water ****. The water **** totaled $58. I have reached out to this attorney several times requesting the remaining $692 owed back to me. The attorney has been non-responsive to my requests. To date I have not received this refund. I have not included supporting documentation as it contains too much personal information. Please reach out to ********************************************* regarding the return of these funds.Customer response

**** delman represented a buyer of my property. The buyer came to the closing table November 9, 2021 and walked away. The deposit was recently returned to the buyer based upon an October 12, 2021 release. However, an extension was executed and signed by all parties to extend the closing to November 9, 2021 . The buyer requested and signed the extension after the release was signed. We retained the right to keep the deposit as the buyer did not perform. The deposit should have not been returned to the buyer as a closing did take place.Business response

The individual has the wrong company. ************************* worked for *************************** at the time of the issue. You can see from the attachments that the ************ DBR has ************************* and *************************** on the complaint. The individual filing the complaint included in her attachments the page from the Purchase and Sales agreement which shows that ************************* was the agent and *************************** was the company. I also included her attachment here. We have nothing to do with this complaint and the person filing the complaint is missing the fact that ************************* works for Lila Delman Real Estate now but did not at the time of the issue. She should look at her Purchase and Sales agreement and reach out to the company that ****** worked for at that time. Anything further let me know.Customer response
