I purchased a vehicle 10/18/23 from Ziggys auto body and sales. Three weeks from purchase the engine went. When I told the dealer they offered no help. The vehicle was also inspected illegally. Black electrical tape was found covering dash lights and had no horn. I have a list of other issues the vehicle has from a mechanic I took the vehicle to two weeks after purchase because the vehicle was not sounding right. That is when the black electrical tape and no horn was found among other mechanical issues. I have been paying on a vehicle that has not been in my possession for four months now. The finance company said only way to get out of the contract is to have the dealer take the vehicle back as a trade in and to give me another one but I do not want to put another down payment when I already put $2000 down on the one that is c*** I was told I have to pay for engine out of pocket and I do not have that kind of money.

      In regards to ******************** complaint-

Customer purchased vehicle with a third party warranty. 24 months or 24k miles.
Vehicle was sent  to ****** ******* they discovered has internal issue with motor. I then stepped in trying to speak to her warranty company & because ******* themselves have an extension on motor repair they refuse to pay for replacement.
after back and forth with ******* they are trying to void her repair. Stating missing previous maintenance logs. Car was a one owner trade in before we purchased it. *** tried multiple times to reach original owner with no luck.
I understand and sympathize with *** but I feel ******* should stick to their given warranty extension and service her vehicle.
I feel complaint should be between ******* motors and if not her third party warranty company.
I offered to help on labor end but I cannot cover cost of a new motor.

feel I should have never been sold this car. If maintenance and service had actually been done before I purchased it I would not be in the situation I am in. The list of issues with this car made aware to me from a mechanic two weeks after purchase show from the beginning this car was not properly serviced or had any maintenance done before putting it up for sale. The no horn the black electrical tape on the dash , sway bar links , ****** valve cover (I was told was being fixed the day I went to pick it up) the list goes onthis car was also a safety issue and never should have passed inspection. I dont believe my issue is with ******* they did not sell me this car. ******* did tell me the engine went on it due to lack of maintenance and that if the car had really been checked and looked over before I purchased it you would of seen that the car had not had an oil change in quite some time and the damage to the engine and due to that caused the engine to die. And like I stated above and I will keep saying itif the car was properly serviced and gone over I would not be in this situation because I would not of purchased it because it should of never been made available for purchase.

      Follow up response-

I understand customers complaint & frustration; although vehicle was serviced and set for sale. Before sale we replaced valve cover gasket and completed an oil change of our own.
We cannot unfortunately track what previous owner/s have completed. ******* noted they denied claim because of no recorded maintenance logs. I cannot get in contact with original owner. If at all possible I would have him supply needed documentation. The vehicle wasnt consuming or leaking oil so therefore in no way in selling we could have predicted internal engine failure.

I just find it odd ******* themselves added a 50k mile  extension onto there already 150k mile warranty because they had so many issues with this specific motor. In past I have had several ******* dealerships do the replacement. Thats why Im at a loss as to between them and the 3rd party warranty company that nothing can be done.

If the vehicle was serviced and checked over then why does the vehicle have No horn (possible broken clock spring) ********* (showing no oil change in quite some time) , had no coolant(was empty), leaking valve cover , right front sway bar end link and the check engine light was on indicating something was wrong. All this was found two weeks after I purchased this vehicle because the vehicle made a horrible noise while I would be driving so I went and had it looked at by a mechanic. I did not have the vehicle long enough for those issues to happen in the time I had the vehicle. I was sold a vehicle that should have not been sold. I reached out asking about trade in and was ignored. *************** said only way I can get out of this is to have it taken back as a trade in but instead I am ignored and the blame is put on ******* and ******* did not sell me this vehicle. I dont feel this is *******s fault or responsibility because I did not get the vehicle from them. ******* I feel doesnt owe me anything. I didnt pay ******* $2000 for the vehicle that died on me 3 weeks later.

Around May 19th I purchased a 2011 *** X5 from ****** and **************************** Auto sales gave them $8500 in cash was told there was no issues with the vehicle and that was all set to go. I had told him it was for my 17 year old daughter. They said there was no problems with the car come to find out not even a month into the car has engine failure. *** tells me it needs a whole new engine and basically they are telling me thats its not their problem the car didnt make it a month not even one month and it has a blown engine all in the same month. My wife was diagnosed with breast cancer has to have surgery and treatment . I have a nine-year-old daughter, and they refused refuse to take the car back or give me my money back. Do not I repeat, do not go to this establishment for a vehicle you will regret it the mechanic they have there does not know what hes doing at all. They did something to the engine where they thought it wouldve went over a month it didnt make it a month. It totally failed. Everything failed in the car all the systems didnt work due to improperly removing the battery and not having it coded properly I have 2 daughters and a wife thats going in for cancer treatment and surgery so they think you could just drop off a car and be stuck without a car. No thats not how it works. This establishment is unprofessional, and all they do is rob people stay away from them do yourself a favor. Not only that they told me it was a water pump then it went from a water pump to the solenoids from a solenoid and went to the camshaft from the camshaft to a manifold from that to a VVT issue so the car is no good. The whole car is no good I want my $8500 back make it right give me my money back.

On July 28th I went to H323431303432**363833H auto on *********** in ***************. I put down $700 cash and one week later I picked up a ************* Elantra and gave Ziggy&#**;s another $300 as part of the down-payment. All we were waiting for was the title, which unfortunately never came. Because the temporary plate expired, ****** (one of the guys that run the place) filled out some paperwork and made it like I had purchased this hatchback Elantra that they had put a temp plate on and said this was a "loaner" car while we wait for the title for the original elantra I bought This temporary plate nonsense was very frustrating and eventually, this hatchback "loaners" plate expired as well. When I went back to them (Ziggy&#**;s) I had my mother and aunt with me who were present when **** )other Boss there) said he would make the situation right. He spent a half hour going through paperwork in the office and was only able to come up with one title for an already inspected car. Nothing in the lot was ready at all except a 2007 **** Fusion. I needed a car and was tired of wasting months waiting for paperwork that *** never come I had no other option than to take it since I had very low confidence in them at that point, and it was the only car available in the lot. As I walked out of the building after signing the paperwork for this Fusion they transferred all the payments and whatnot to this car. I noticed ****** was filling the front left tire with air but dismissed it. He said to keep an eye on it and since then I&#**;ve had to put air in it regularly. The car had no oil when I drove it off their lot on 9/14/21. I have had nothing but issues with this car since. Exactly one week later on September 21st -22nd the Fusion became undriveable and started smoking. The catalitic converters were clogged come to find out after AAA towed it out of my yard and back to Ziggy&#**;s. They had the car until the 28th or shortly thereafter. On October 8th I texted **** and told him that the Fusion was idling oddly and that I felt that the car still had some sort of power issue. Oct 13, 2021 I texted **** again after he said on the 8th that "we&#**;ll figure it out", that when I drop it off again, "I need everything done to it, I cant keep bringing it back this thing runs horribly. I&#**;m so frustrated and disappointed at this entire process I just wanted a car and it&#**;s been so stressful." Again, **** said that they&#**;d figure it out. On Oct 21st I was in a bad space as it was around my fathers death date and I once again texted **** explaining in so many words that the Fusion was stalling and there was an issue with the front left tire, that I didn&#**;t feel safe, and that I felt like I was being taken advantage of and that I no longer wanted the car. He didn&#**;t respond until noon the next day after I contacted him again. "I&#**;ll talk to ****** when I get back...we&#**;ll figure something out Sorry for the delay and BS" - ****. Oct 27 "did you talk to him" -me "Powers out call me tomorrow *****...When you picked it up it was making a weird noise So I&#**;m sure it has to be looked at" -**** Oct 29 "If you can ride it out till next week I&#**;ll have a car I can put you (in) why we check that out. I don&#**;t have anything inspected that I can give you" This shows he was willing to do the work and if worst came to worse he&#**;d put me in something else. I dropped it off again on November 3rd, picked it up on the 6th, and all they did was put fuel treatment in it & he said Phone call with ****** from Ziggy&#**;s: current noise the car makes aside & extreme rattling of the engine shifting that the noise was a "something in your exhaust" Nov 11th I contacted **** again informing him that my moms boyfriend, who is a reputable mechanic, thought that the issue with the Fusion and the source of the noise in the engine was the timing chain as he&#**;s seen many similar cases. **** did not respond. I dropped the Fusion off for the last time on December 7th or 8th only to find out that they did absolutely nothing to my car while I was under the impression that it was being fixed. on the 6th of December ****** called me and essentially said that it wouldn&#**;t be "cost effective" to work on it and it could be "a number of things in the engine." Under ***, wiretap laws I legally recorded this phone call in order to keep them accountable (Link written on top of paper) Dec 10th, 2021 I text **** about what ****** had said about talking to "Ben" since my car was now out of warranty since they babysat it for so long to run down the time. Dec 14. I ask him if he can respond, something I kept having to do. Dec 15 I decided to get in touch with a lemon lawyer firm and informed him of such - to which he still did not respond.
