Kimball Property Maintenance / Preserve at ************* ***************** are committing fraud and extortion by trying to force and coerce payments when jobs are not being done. We have a monthly condo fee of $225 which I have been paying every month. Late last fall or so the 'board' voted on adding a $500 'assessment' to the regular monthly condo fee - with no communication or detailed description as to the reasons or the need for such an exhorbitant amount of additional monies. Late last winter / spring for some reason our ******************* ******* backed out of servicing us. There was no communication at all from anyone what had happened or why. I am not on the ***************** Board - there was no communication from any of them. Since then our landscaping has not been taken care of at all. Grass and weeds have been growing as much as 3 feet tall. The place looks like c*** I come to find out only by looking around when driving by the rest of the complex that the only places that appear to have cut grass are those owned by the board members who knew what was going on and had there own done by their own means without telling anyone else not on the board. So I have been fighting this with the board, and have not paid this additional "$500 assessment" because the most basic things are not getting done and I have still been paying the regular monthly $225. If my portion of the monthly $225 did not go to a landscaping company- which obviously it did not because grass is not getting cut - then where did my money go?? Why do they need "$500 additional assessment"?? Kimball Property Maintenance - who obviously is not properly 'maintaining' our property - is threatening me with going to their lawyers attempting to essentially force me to pay this additional "$500 assessment" even when the regular maintenance we expect and deserve is not getting done. I consider this to be clear fraud and extortion and want a stop to it immediately.Business response

************** has a long history of sending harassing emails filled with false accusations, all of which we have on file. He has been notified many times about the reason for the assessment and has even talked to board members about it. KPM acts on behalf of the board. The board decided a $500 assessment was needed and we collect the money, even if that means taking legal action. This association only has 10 units so money is an ongoing issue. Unless they raise the monthly fees, which the board does not want to do, there will likely be more assessments to come, as all costs are rising.
