Anmed in Anderson did my husband wrong. He had some teeth removed by the dentist and had to go to emergency room. He mouth was pouring blood. We had to wait to see a P A then got in there they did not have a doctor. They did very little to help some gauge and a little med He told them I am bleeding death. Some more bags and gauge wax brought. He went to the bathroom and got some blood on the floor and sink a nurse came and made him clean up his own blood his mouth pouring blood. The P A said we will need to contact doctor this went on for 45 minutes or longer. My husband walked to the desk and another nurse came in as he asked a question and was very rude and said u are going to let me check in on second shift .And I will come. He could not get the immediate attention. He had to tell them I am leaving and she repleyed that's fine. I said just send a bill and she said oh we will. I called there to complain and the lady took a report. Had to take him then to ****** emergency room. They did blood work shot on gauge and more medicine. Thought the doctor was never going to get the blood stopped . Finally around 11:30 that night we got to go home. On top of all of this we just received a big hospital bill from Anmed that we had to pay .Because the insurance would only pay for ******. There needs to be improvement at Anmed. I believe if I had not taken him to ****** he would have bleed to death.Review from Mary J

Lois B****** (AnMed Billing), I accept NO RESPONSIBILITY for the late payment of this account. When I received the original invoice back in Nov. I tried to pay it as instructed and it came back with the message 'no outstanding balance'. I was struggling with my injuries and recovery and thought no more of it. Until I received the very RUDELY worded letter from AnMed. Once again I called the number on the letter and was told that this was an accident case and would be handled by my lawyer. I told them that I AM paying the bills and they gave me your phone number and email. I left you both a voicemail and sent you an email asking you to CALL ME because this could be resolved very quickly over the phone. Instead you replied to my email with a non-answer, instead calling my lawyer. You WASTED everyone's time; yours, mine and my lawyers paralegal. FIRST - off if I would have been able to pay the balance with my credit card online back in November this would have been a non-issue. SECOND - if you would have simply picked up the phone and called me as I requested the balance would have been paid and this would have been a non-issue. THIRD -I am filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, Because as well as calling my lawyer instead of me I received a second RUDELY worded letter. FOURTH - Contrary to the letter stating it is my responsibility for the payment of this claim; YOUR SYSTEM FAILED ME, not the other way around. The balance was paid in full this morning. Please fix the short comings on your end. Respectfully, ****Review from Marian R

Their billing procedures are questionable. I have yet to have my medical procedure but they're sending me "estimates" to pre-pay and each one is different. I'm tempted to finding new doctors outside of Anmed to avoid their INSANE billing practices.Review from Jane S

Anmed Health is a system that awards and rewards grandfathered employees with an out of jail free card. The senior staff can do no wrong even if it is blatant. It is a good ol’boy system that is extremely difficult to advance. The raises are very minimal, on average it’s a 1.5 % raise. If said person has a single write up or misses one of their continuing education modules the raise will be declined to be given. The main hospital has senior staff that literally hide in areas to avoid pt interaction but are never admonished for their actions. Staff are encouraged to acknowledge mistakes possibly made, but beware that if you do it will affect you in every aspect of your job, whether it is wanting advancement, raise or respect from management. Honestly the management is really a joke. They can make mistakes but never have any consequences. There are so many managers that you have no clear idea who you are supposed to report to. The staff at the North Campus Womens and children’s hospital are blatant in your face religious. While I have no problem with this, when patients leave or are walking past rooms where medical procedures are taking place and hear scripture or hymns being sung. They ask if Anmed is religious hospital like ST. Francis the answer is no. Staff members who show their religious spirit are treated with respect and favoritism. If you are a person of size, the staff including management treat you differently, often feeling excluded or ridiculed. The hospital does not feel like they need to bring up pay to economic value. There is an xray tech program through Anmed but because of this program they feel they do not have to pay their employees economic value salaries because they have new fresh students who graduate and will work for pennies. They do have some great doctors and nurses who generally like where they work, and it shows in their performance and how their patients are treated.Review from Gregory H.

I went in with pain in my left lower abdomen. I was told my husband couldn't go back with me, (COVID restrictions) waited 1 hour before being seen. Besides telling triage nurse I'm a former addict, I also told the doctor. Before I was seen I laid on the bed in agony. I was told I may have a bigger problem than I thought. But after 2 hours of sitting and very few tests I was told I have a swollen small intestine. Basically a blockage, and no answer as to why nor a solution to the problem at hand, and was given pain killers and told if the problem persists come back. But if they didn't help the first time, why would I go back? Now I'm responsible for a $3,000 bill that I refuse to payReview from Tina M

26 yo daughter having ch pains, L arm tingling, jaw pain & throwing up; sure signs of a Heart attack; take her to AnMed ED only because it’s close. NO EKG through the door, wheeled back to room and left. My daughter looks at me with a doom expression as if she truly thinks she is going to die. I enter hallway, demand to see MD and get EKG. No one to be found, 10 more minutes go by daughter crying, dry heaving, begging to help her. I run into hallway and finally find someone. Two nurses come and had the audacity to say “it’s shift change”. Let me tell you, I am a nurse with several years experience in cardiac, telemetry, and other areas of health care. Shift change does not mean Jack when there is an emergency!!! That’s why it’s called the ED and this goes for any unit or floor unit. Emergencies take precedence over shift change. 1) with her signs and symptoms an EKG should have been completed through the door before she ever went to a room. 2) Possible MI patients should be seen immediately, time is valuable in this situation. 3) treat your pt and family with compassion, don’t come in with excuses, do your job!! 4) I am a nurse at AnMed and I am ashamed and embarrassed how things were handled by my peers. I have experienced first hand all the bad reviews I have read about AnMed within 15 minutes of arriving to the ED with my daughter. 5) I will never again trust the company I work for for health care needs. We have always used providers at Prisma/Greenville and their facilities but AnMed was closer and under the circumstances felt it was necessary. But with the time wasted by the ED staff I could have gotten her to Prisma. Thank God it wasn’t a heart attack but I will never take a chance with AnMed ever again. I will be looking for a new job once my contract is up.Review from LaChandra M

My biopsy was scheduled 2wks out. Was suppose to be completed on04/21/22 @ Anmed on N Fant Street Anderson SC. Prior to that day. I received a text to confirm the appt. I confirmed YES as prompt to do. The day of the biopsy. My spouse had taken off to transportme to and from safely.. with losing a day of work. We arrived at Anmed campus 20 minutes early to prepare. Once we arrived the front desk instructed me to go to Admission. Once we got there. The lady in admission said the system was down and to call ******** to speak with scheduling. We sat there in the hospital bc both my spouse and I took this day off for the procedure to be completed. When I called the number I thoroughly explained to Jocie/Jocey that I could return anytime today but it would have to be today. That representative told me that she would call me back once the system came back up to return. At 3:10 I called back and spoke with a lazy dont know absolutely nothingTammy in scheduling. Asked her were the system back up. She responded yes. I proceeded in explaining to her that of my previous conversations with Jocey only for her to tell me NO ONE WOULD HAVE TOLD ME SUCH A THING! Tammy placed me on hold for 7 mins only to come back and say you can cancel or reschedule. I told her neither because I was there. And that both my husband and I was expecting to return today once Jocey called back. Anmed is VERY POOR. Highly do not recommend. Will travel to another city to before me or my family ever goes to their facilities.Review from D W H

Anmed health was my care provider and now I owe them money but they have not sent a bill in 2 months and when a check was mailed to Anmed health is returned as undeliverable. They billed me for ICU and I was in a general room the entire time. I have looked on their website for an actual billing PO box and all you can find is email address. The food was terrible and the beds are uncomfortable.
