I purchased 2 bicycles from Freehub bicycles last January. With the purchase, we were given rewards dollars with the value of $592.76 as of August 22, 2023. Of that amount, we spent approximately $200 on September 3rd. We were told this afternoon that the business was sold 3 weeks ago and new owner will not honor the rewards dollars which would be approximately $370.Business response

Good Day,
I acquired the assets of Freehub Bicycles LLC from the previous owner at the beginning of August. As the rewards have no cash value (as opposed to gift cards), the previous owner did not want to lower the price of the business or payout a cash value for the rewards. I as the new owner, do not have to continue the rewards program, and as I did not receive any of the benefit that led to the rewards (i.e. selling the bikes to the customer), I cannot continue to honor the rewards.
I apologize that the customer received the text, but that is more a fault of the POS system rather than anything outside the norm of a business asset sale.
