My uncle and myself bought a car from Stan. He was very helpful at first with working with us on the down payment. I was told that I could make payments to my down payment of 2000 at 350 every other week then when the down payment was paid off that I could start my regular payments which would be 200 a month on a 99 ***** ****0..so I started my payments two weeks after getting the car and around three weeks I noticed the car wasn't running right so had a mechanic check it out and discovered there was zero oil in the car and that the engine light had been disconnected intentionally...the car was slipping and I called Stan to tell him I had to spend my third payment I taking it to mechanics...he said he would work with me and did that one time...but then I started making my payments again and the alternator went out of the car...I replaced it ...I have paid 2250 since September it is just now december made last payment on November 25....Mr Egan has reposssed the car saying I have only paid 950 on the car...I sent him screenshots where he himself has been running my debit card for the payments and he says he didn't receive them. The only revieot he has is a piece of paper he wrote three payments on. I have receipts from my card..not only that he didn't send a right to cure. He also would run my card whenever he wanted to...he lies and has lied to me about everything then gets you to sign a contract with something totally different than what was discussed.. he took my car while I was at work then when I called him was very nasty and said I never made a payment and I have that in text as well. So then who at Stan Eagan's Auto World had been taking money off my card and not putting it toward my payments. He is a nasty man !!Business response

****** ***** DOES NOT HAVE A SC DRIVERS LICENSE AND WAS DRIVING ILLEGALLY, T***** ******** BOUGHT THE 1999 ***** ***** (#******) AND WAS ALLOWING MS. ***** TO DRIVE THE CAR UNDER THE CONDITION THAT SHE PAID THE DOWN PAYMENT, CONTINUED TO MAKE THE PAYMENTS ON THE CONTRACT AND MAINTAIN THE INSURANCE ON THE VEHICLE. SHE HAS NOT PAID THE DOWN PAYMENT IN FULL, HAS NEVER MADE A PAYMENT ON THE CAR AND RECENTLY THE INSURANCE COMPANY SENT A CANECELLATION NOTICE FOR NON-PAYMENT. AFTER T***** ******** RECEIVED THE REPOSSESSION NOTICE FROM ME AND THE CANCELLATION NOTICE FROM STATEFARM INSURANCE HE CAME UP TO MY STORE PICKED ME UP AND ASKED ME TO ASSIST HIM IN GETTING THE LEXUS FROM WHERE SHE WAS EMPLOYED. THE KEYS WERE IN THE CAR AND HE DROVE IT TO MY STORE AND TURNED IT BACK IN TO ME. HE DID NOT WANT ANYTHING FURTHER TO DO WITH ****** ***** OR THE CAR WHICH WAS UNDER CONTRACT TO STAN EGAN'S AUTO WORLD. HE IS A GOOD MAN AND SAID IF THERE ARE ANY FURTHER QUESTIONS HE MADE BE NOTIFIED AT 864-867-2182. HE WISHED HE HAD NEVER TRIED TO HELP HER IN THE FIRST PLACE AND WOULD DO IT NEVER AGAIN. I TOLD MR. ******** THAT HE OWES STAN EGAN'S AUTO WORLD NOTHING FURTHER.

Date of the transaction 12/13/2021 Amount paid to Stan Egan AutoWorld$2,100 Stan Egan has committed to fix everything wrong with the 2006 Nissan Murano, including sun visor, back door latch, check engine light, steering wheel rough when turning and locks while driving, freon/air conditioner, dvd player and remote needs fixing. Owner as of 3/1/2022 has now refused to repair the remaining issues with the vehicle. The only thing that is fixed is the back door latch. Owner has refused to resolve the mechanical issues thoroughly. Owner Stan Egan has sent me to his mechanics at *** Auto Repair since having the vehicle and it's still not fixed. This car is not safe and has many mechanical issues. When I brought the vehicle Owner said it was well taken care of and he brought it from a friend, it didn't have over 3 owners and just sat. Since having the vehicle from 12/13/2021 the vehicle steering column still locks up, steering hard while turning, steering shakes, car shakes, air conditioner doesn't work, car squeals (*** Auto Repair said was a dust flap, really, it's the brakes and they bent the brake pad connector back to stop the squealing at that moment.) Needs new brake pads, Electrical issues, Battery had to be replaced, Fuel system issues, Check engine light still on, engine issues, Stan Egan refuses to fix Ongoing Oil leaks, Bad gas struts, Ongoing power steering leaking, AC low pressure valve cap is still missing and spraying R134A and owner refuses to fix. I called owner within the first 2 weeks of having the vehicle to give it back and get my money back, he refused. Stan Egan said if he allowed everyone to return his cars he would be out of business and he promised me again he will fix everything wrong with the car and do right by me and make sure it's safe to drive. Now Stan Egan owner is refusing to get the repairs done that he agreed to do, when selling me the vehicle. If he was honest and said he wasn't going to repair the issues, I wouldn't brought from him.Business response

Concerning the complaint given to the BBB from Ms. ********, all issues have been resolved to the satisfaction of the customer. Ms. ******** is happy and content with her vehicle from Stan Egan's Auto World and continues to pay on her account with us every week. Stan Egan

It should be on record what Stan Egan has done to me. He shouldn't be allowed to disrespect me as a customer nor a human being. I paid on time every week (even though he sold me a lemon) and still was told I'm not a customer, and he has to focus on paying customers that pay for his livelihood. He even told those customers he would continue treating me this way and they all laughed. I've never been so humiliated and treated like nothing, even though I only did the right thing. I'm out of $3000 plus dollars, but no longer have to deal with Stan Egan at Stan Egan Auto World. He sold the vehicle to me for a little over $10,950 and I was given the value of the car from Chevrolet of Bradshaw and it was valued at $1,000! I definitely want my compliant to stay on file and it can be used publicly as well.
