This is the email I sent to the company on May 5 2024 along with pictures of my receipts. It has been a month and I have not heard a response so I have decided to file a complaint with the better business bureau. The receipts attached do not show the gratuity, but I have attached the picture of my credit card charge showing it. To whom it may concern: I spent $500 including gratuity on my child’s birthday party and it did not go well at all. The manager at the Columbia/Irmo store in South Carolina did not assist me at all after I voiced my complaint. All she gave me was a card for the next time to go bowling for the incidents that occurred. I would like a partial refund or something done about this matter. First, my party host was always missing, so I couldn’t find him when I needed him for things like food, the game cards, or drinks needed. My party brought great revenue to your establishment and all I got in returned was a ruined birthday party and next time for free bowling, but I never plan on coming back. I had over 20 kids come to my son’s birthday party and by the time it was for the game cards, someone else, NOT the party host handed me the game cards and we did not know they were not activated. The kids tried and tried for an hour-2hrs to play the games and some of the cards were working and some weren’t. Some had game credits on them and some didn’t. I couldn’t find my party host the whole time. I went to multiple different workers and none of them were helpful. They kept saying they were going to get the manager. I finally got in touch with the manager and she took too long to get them activated. By the time the cards got activated, the party was over and all the kids were leaving. I am very very upset that this happened and if this isn’t rectified, I am going to leave a very poor review and make sure no one I know and I never have birthday parties at your establishment again. Please contact me at this email or call 803-***-**** regarding this matter.

I was charged a group over 6 rate on my bill and was not told about it until after I paid. We had no service from a waiter nor bartender while bowling. My purchased drinks were at the bar and I had to walk to the bar multiple times to get them. I emailed the company twice with no resolution. You cannot speak to anyone by phone.

Like many establishments, we add a gratuity to groups of certain sizes or more. This is clearly listed on all of our menus, as well as on our tablets and kiosks. I have attached a picture taken from our menu for reference. Unfortunately, we will not be able to give this guest the requested resolution of a refund, as that gratuity has already been processed and given to the team member who had the tab.

I am rejecting this response because: we ordered directly at the register with the bartender. There was no menu, kiosk, etc provided to see there would be a gratuity. We were not informed of this charge until after given a receipt. We received our items after going back up to the bar multiple times to check on it at the bar. There was no gratuity to give to anyone. The only reason why they're stating there were over 6 people was because our kids were standing behind us when we ordered. 2 adults 4 kids. We never sat at a table. I disagree with the response and due to the business chaos that day I should not be penalized.

      Sincerely,
