Two days before me and my fianc were due to get married my car was taken from our yard. Back story my fianc purchased a **** Edge for me from Hughes Auto Group LLC. In *************. During our time of having the vehicle we never received our DMV tag. We called and showed up in person many times inquiring on the status of our tag. By June 1, 2023 we have owned the vehicle for four months and two weeks. On the morning of June 1st I was getting ready to leave home and go get my hair done for our wedding. I went outside my edge was not in our yard. We immediately called the police to report our car stolen. When the police officer came they questioned did we own the vehicle, are we behind on payments? We showed the officer our papers to show where the vehicle was purchased. We even showed him where the most recent payment had been drafted from the bank account. He begin calling around, upon calling he found our vehicle at a towing company. The individuals from the tow company said that the vehicle had been repossessed by *********************. We reminded the officer that we purchased the vehicle from Hughes Auto Group. The individual from the towing company told the officer that Prime Time has proof that they own the vehicle, they have the title for the vehicle. We were beyond confused. How can this company have the title when we didnt purchase it from them. The officer then learned from the individuals at the towing company that the dealership who has the title allows Hughes Auto Group to sell some of their cars to make some profit. They told the officer that Hughes never delivered Prime their portion of the sale. They chose to take back all the cars that Hughes owns them money own. All of us who purchased cars from Hughes that belonged to other dealerships are caught in the middle of a fight between two dealerships. We confronted Hughes Auto Group and was told that they are working on it we will have our vehicle back soon. Today is June 29th we still dont have itInitial Complaint

I had put down $2000 on a $5000 2007 Buick Lucerne from Hughes Auto Group on October 7th, 2022. When I initially went to drive the car off the lot after finalizing the agreement, the car would not start. They assured me that the only issue was the car hadn't been started for a long time, they had just replaced the battery, and I had a 90-day warranty on it that I could get it replaced. We had the battery checked and they assured us it was in great shape, but the vehicle continued to cut off and not start for periods of time. I had a mechanic check it out and he said the alternator was bad. I asked the dealership what I should do and they told me they would cover a months worth ($400) of the cost to get it fixed, but that was it. So, I got the alternator replaced for $600. Two days after that, the car began having issues again. The car would shut off randomly while driving, and there were more **************** issues. At the same time, they were expecting a payment of $200 as well as fix the car. We hadn't been able to get to work due to the limitations of the vehicle and the area we live in. I contacted the dealership once again and they told us there was nothing they could do and I had to come up with a payment or they would repossess the vehicle. I spent an additional $40 for the electrical problems and made a payment. Another week later the car began to overheat and start smoking. Since this just happened yesterday, I contacted a mechanic once again and he believes the thermostat is stuck and we are looking at an additional $200 to fix it as well as another car payment. I haven't been able to drive the car for a total of 2 weeks without it breaking down, so I haven't been able to work. They still are expecting payments as well as get it fixed and I am becoming bankrupt trying to fix a car that was supposed to be in great condition. I have more information regarding this, but not enough space for all of the details. Please contact me ASAP. Thanks
