Was referred to Palmetto Renovations and great turnout on our stone countertop. The kitchen looks more spacious because it is more spacious. The design worked.

I had just purchased some land and house on some acreage that I thought was going to be a simple update and turned into a full on gut & start over! I am not construction savvy by any means and required step by step guidance. Amy worked with me and did not make me feel bad about my lack of knowledge. She has been there to guide me step by step. She did not upsell me at all but explained all of the advantages and disadvantages to each item that I have needed, asked my overall plan and let me know my options! She helped me to understand the correct order of things that needed installation and made sure I understood before I purchased anything! I will use this company because of Amy as I know I will be taken care of without being taken advantage of!Review from Rob M

The project was our kitchen and the highlight was our island. It’s customized so as not to be replicated. It was the specialty team who created the concept to add this island, whereas in turn, it would actually create additional space through its reversed, inverted pentagonal positioning. I have had my kitchen redone a little while ago. I was skeptical to hire a contractor versus a handyman but I am glad I did my research. Will tell you, price comparisons, attention to detail and the overall experience could not have been better. Special kudos to Jake and Ellis, as well as Logan, I was communicated with on a daily basis, they were quick to fill me in on what was done on a specific day and what was planned for the rest of the week. Payments throughout the project were paid out in a schedule so I was able to plan for it and anticipate by the miles stones they have completed. Having family and friends over and getting tons of compliments makes me proud, and in return I am proud of Palmetto’s team for creating such a wonderful kitchen. Renovations included a home addition, laundry room conversion and enclosing a large, unused area in a bedroom to make the second closet larger. On Day One the large closet in the bedroom was demolished when nothing in it was to be demolished. It didn’t get any better from there. •From Sales meeting to failed final building inspection: 11 mos. •To obtain flood elevation survey and building permits: 6 mos. •Building materials stored in the two-car garage and driveway: 10 mos. •Number of dumpsters placed in driveway: 2 •Lack of on-site supervision. •Spec sheets were initially unavailable on-site and then not always followed. •No port-a-potty on job site resulted in damage to bathrooms and use of consumables without replacement. •No sheeting to protect belongings, floors, etc. until we complained and then its continual removal made it useless. •Nails, screws, wood, bricks, concrete, pieces of metal, etc. were left everywhere on the job site, making it hazardous to enter the area. Workers didn't clean up after themselves at any stage of work. •Change orders added by company increased total project cost by 10%. •Poor quality of work installing sheetrock, taping, mudding, sanding and painting necessitates rehiring professional painters to fix reno issues and to make repairs to other areas damaged by the reno. •Poor quality workmanship resulted in the use of the homeowner's personal building materials with the total consumption, destruction and/or disposal of much of it. •Laundry Room plumbing moved and reinstalled at least 4 times, and still counting. •Most aspects of the renovation required rework, even after multiple attempts. •Periods of time before and after final punch lists with little to no work being done, and still not complete.Review from Mac M

We worked with Palmetto Renovations from fall of 2023 through February of this year and we should have connected with their design specialty showroom and staff years ago as our home has never looked better. Our kitchen finally features real stone quartzite with a blend of stunning LVP waterproof flooring, elegant tiled backsplash and an entirely new lighting system from chandeliers to the under cabinet lighting. They replaced a window in the bay area to match the exterior clad. All trim was stained and by the time things were wrapped up, there were no imperfections to even address. Our project with Palmetto Renovations took place in spring 2022 with Trex decking. The color selection was Island Mist and the railing system is white with black posts. We love the deck and we're so impressed with the design & maximum use of materials based upon the square footage needed and the linear board lengths that we ordered. Each project detail by our specialist, Kimberly, helped our house to become a home. I write this review as we now plan for our vinyl siding estimate and remodel. After completion of our bathroom, we now literally give tours to our friends and neighbors. It's spacious and much safer with the ADA layout and new shower concept. Everybody finds the bright new look to be an investment and and enhancement. It adds value but is safer and that's most important. I next plan for my deck to be torn down and rebuilt and will again use Palmetto Renovations only. I have projects and they have expertise.Palmetto Renovations of Columbia, Inc. Response

Palmetto Renovations recently completed our kitchen renovation project. We are very happy with the results and the appearance of our new kitchen. This is a great group of folks. They renovated my kitchen, and were great! Excellent communication, very efficient, and they communicated very well.
