Refusal to refund security deposit. We were forced to move and told that we transferred our lease to another property. Magistrate of Horry county in Conway SC told us that a lease does NOT transfer. It goes with the new owners. Ms Moran told us they wanted to live in their property so we had to move. We were only in her new property for three weeks so we just want our deposit refunded. We missed a small spot underneath the toilet seat when cleaning her house upon moving and she also said there was a sink clogged. We had no drain issues at all in the three weeks we lived there. We never signed a new lease or a transfer or even termination. I will remove the complaint if deposit is refunded. She also says a washing machine was damaged beyond repair and is trying to get me to pay $550 for it. I put Downy in the bleach cup in November of 2021. We noticed it ran directly into machine. So since it didn't work right we never tried it again. We used the machine at least three times a week until moving in July of 2022. There were never any problems or issues with this machine even up to the night before we moved. On top of that the washing machine was included in the listing to sell the condo we were in so it wasn't even hers to remove. The new owners are moving down here in October and are taking her to small claims court over the washing machine. I accidentally picked up her remote for the tv when we moved and notified her that I found it and need to get it back to her. No response. She is now wanting $98 for a $12 remote. Stay away from her and do not rent from her. She will make sure you never feel like you are at home in your own home. Terrible landlord. There is much more I could include but my character space is used up. Give me a $1700 refund and this goes away Ms Moran
