on tuesday 1/31 i picked my dog up from daycare about 3:58pm. when i walked in i had to ring the door bell to alert an employee i was here as noone was at the desk. a girl comes in from the side door, she seems to be running around doing most everything her self. i ask if its been busy, she tell me yes sadly they are understaffed today. this is important. less than 10 minutes later i notice my dog is not wanting to open his right eye at all, he is hurting and uncomfortable when i attempt to touch around it. i call his daycare at 4:07pm and leave a voicemail. they call me back at 4:25pm. i expressed my concerns and asked for more info. they are unaware and have no info and barely any concern. i call my dogs vet and make an appt for 8am the following day Wednesday 2/1 as it was their first available. at this appt, they ruled out any scratch/depris and referred to a specialist. i got an appt for 2/2 at 11:30am. they diagnose my dog with trauma based unilateral anterior uveitis based on the timeline, situation and findings. he is on an eye drop, pain med and anti inflammatory. daycare was aware to call me before 2:30pm on 2/2 as i work after that. they called when i was at work and i told them i would be stopping by on 2/3 between 2:30pm-4pm to speak with the owner. i arrived on 2/3 at 2:45pm. it is now after 5pm on 2/3 and the owner is not here nor is he picking up his phone. shows how unimportant this is to him/this business and its not a priority. im at a running vet bill total of $500, with at least another $100 due next week at a follow up appt.
