Pool Tech Plus and ******* were quick to respond to the installation of our pool heater. He communicated well and followed up with any questions I had. I would definitely not hesitate to call on him for any further needs.

In my 50+ years of dealing with contractors, Brandon ****** of Pool Tech Plus and Clear Water Pools is the Worst of the Worst. He has been working on building our pool for almost 2 years and still has 4 outstanding punch list items that have not been completed. He is a liar and a cheat and loves to prey on senior citizens, he will come up with some cute little answer telling you he is a single parent, even though the mother of his child works as a pool cleaner for him and has most times had the daughter with her why she cleaned our pool. He will also try and blame covid and this did cause some problems but Covid was not the problem it was Brandon, during the time he worked on our pool there were at least 10 or 12 pools in our neighborhood and all were completed in a couple of months or less. Before you even think about talking to him Goggle his name ***********************. This guy is bad news and should be avoided, or you will be sorry like most of his customers. I have every text and e-mail to document every lie and broken promise he ever told us and plan on passing this information on to everyone in the Carolinas along with court action

      Pool Tech Plus Response

Other then a few punch list items. This customer he has been enjoying his pool for more than a year and a half. Mr ********* punch list items cost less then $300.00 to complete and yet he is commenting as if we stole 56K from him. Mr. ******** comments are in fact defamatory and not true. Legally, anyone dealing with a client like this understands we can not respond directly to personal attacks.Mr ******** also did not disclose the fact that additional expenses we incurred doing his project did not get passed on to him. Expenses well over $2,500.00. And yet he say we prey on people. We gave him 1.5 year free pool services. So yes, we dropped the ball on a few punch list items due to un foreseen circumstances like lack of labor, availability of parts, medical emergencies, covid and a family death. But at no point in time did we try to cheat him out of anything. If you noticed we also admit to the issues we failed him on. Is that the mark of a liar and a cheat? ************** There is always more to the story then one side. And we regret we let Mr ******** down. We have never fully left the project until Mr ******** we told us not to. 16 years in business and 3 bad reviews does not make us crooks, liars and predators. Even as we speak we have written to Mr ******** via email for solutions and instead he slanders us and defames us. Mr ******** has even gone a far to say he has to protect his family from us, while he is the armed home owner harassing us.

      Customer Response

We had given up on seeing Mr. ****** since several of our requests to complete this now 22-month project had either gone unanswered or told that he would be out next week to complete and he never showed are communicated back to us that he was not coming. In May of 2022 we contracted to have our back porch screened in, the contractor as part of the process tried to secure a required building permit and was told that he could not get a permit due to an outstanding swimming pool permit that had never received a final inspection. Our contractor informed us of this and said we would need this cleared up ASAP in order to keep us on his schedule or he would be forced to push back our project a couple of months, this had already been pushed back more than a year because of how long it took to get the pool work completed. We tried to contact Brandon to see why this had not been done and stressed the need for a fast resolution and got no response back from him, after 2 attempts and pressure from the contractor we contact the permit-issuing authority in our county and was told that the permit was expired and that we would need to come to their office a renew the permit at a cost of $50 and schedule an inspection. We renewed the permit and after telling her the bind that we were in she scheduled the inspection for the next day. The inspector came and notified us that the circuit breakers in the panel box were not GFI'S as required by code and that one of the 2 that were installed was piggyback, two wires on the same breaker, and that this would also need to be corrected also, I had to call several places to get the breaker since they seemed to only be used in swimming pools and was charged about $250 to obtain the breakers. He also informed me that the roster listing all of the sub-contractors that were us on the project, Electrical, Concrete, and Fencing, was not listed on the roster and that this would need to be done or I would need to apply for a waiver since I could not get a response from Brandon we applied for the waiver and by the grace of God was given it, along with this process and obtaining the breakers and having them installed took over 2 weeks and push back our porch job at a minimum of 6 weeks.
What Mr. ****** left out is that this project started with us giving him a $20,000 deposit in June of 2020 and another $20,000 in July when the pool was delivered, the extra cost he claimed to endure was I assume that the person that was supposed to dig the hole and the crane that was to lift the shell over the house never showed and forced him to unload the shell on my front lawn and have it placed in my back yard the next day and a new contractor to did the hole a couple of days later, and came to a boil when in April I ask Mr., ****** to please finish the items that were outstanding for almost 2 years with priority installing a weighted platform on the $3000 + water feature that was installed 6 months prior so that it would not blow away in any kind of a storm. The final straw came
I had been more patient than I have ever been with anyone, But No One Should Be Forced To Go Through What We Have Been Put Through. This brief statement is only the first couple of pages to what could be a book written about what went wrong on a project that we were told in June 2020 would be completed by Labor Day of the same year. Even after all of this if Mr. ****** is willing to have someone do the weighting down of the pool feature and have a Licensed Electrician check the installation of the breaker panel, and pump, and reimburse me for the breakers and permit, gives us the instruction books that come with the filter system and complete the install hooking up all the features and giving us a quick rundown of how the filter works I **** stop the posting and take no future action. I would like this work done by a sub-contractor, I would feel more confirmable not for fear of any physical harm that may happen, I don't think Mr ****** is that kind of person, but just because of all that has transpired on this long and painful project
