Hired this contractor to replace roof on our existing dwelling at ********************************************************************. He had met with our insurance adjuster at our residence to discuss hail damage on roof. He quoted us price of $6200.00 for labor and replacement of roof. We accepted that offer (prior to any knowledge of insurance claim payout) and gave him $3000 on 9/28/22 and second payment $3,200.00 on 10/11/22 per the proposal. After job was completed and before I gave him the final payment, I showed him different areas throughout the house where ceiling was cracked in bedrooms and bathrooms as a result of the pounding on roof. I asked if I could withhold $100 from final payment pending repairs and paint be supplied/completed by his company. He assured me he definitely would be back to take care of this so I gave him full payment. Also, he never sent any pictures of completed roof. I have several text messages and an email (which I have documented) of these back and forth conversations. Last contact with him via text was on November 10 when he replied he was in **********, ** when I asked about pictures again. I have been sending text messages to him (last one today) but no response. I can tell on my texts to him that he has read each one. I had requested to have this repaired by Thanksgiving which he did not comply so I went ahead and had it done. I am requesting $100 for reimbursement of paint and pictures of new roof!Customer response

Business response to complaint -- The popcorn cracks in the ceiling in the bathroom was already existing prior to the work being done. The consumers husband confirmed this while the business was at the residence when the consumer mentioned the cracked ceiling. The business will be mailing a check to the consumer for $100 for reimbursement as previously discussed.Customer response

Bedroom and other bathroom did not have cracks in ceiling prior to new roof installation. In addition have not received pictures of completed roof that I requested several timesCustomer response

I contacted BBB again to advise I have never received a check and was told case would be reopened. i called again today to advise it still shows case closed. I am awaiting call back from BBB for status.Customer response
