I was given a $25 gift card as a gift. I have had it for quite some time. The company said since 2020. I called today, 10/10/24, to activate the card. It has never been used. I was told that the entire balance was taken for maintenance fees. How is this legal or even ethical?Business response

I have a 255$ Fraud cliam from August 23 rd 2024 the merchant issued refunds but the back office won’t release funds are contact me after 2 esculations the chargeback have been pending they let the charges through on cancelled card and took 214$ out my direct deposit on September 25 th after thirty days they did not provide the provisional credit and have failed to email any update I would like my refunds processed back and an explanation for holding onto funds they are not abiding by card holder agreement on disputes pass 30$ days I already paid them know I’m being victimized again with them holding refund not respondingBusiness response

Saw a ******** ad a few weeks ago for $40 bonus when signing up for Netspend and having direct deposits of $400. I signed up immediately and had the direct deposits done within 2 weeks but didn’t get my bonus. I contacted them and was told the direct deposits had to be complete by 9/15/24. That was not stated in the terms, and would be impossible because the ad came after that date. I simply want my $40 for opening the account and making the $400 in direct deposits.Business response

I purchased a ***** prepaid debit card from family dollar on 9/21/24 and loaded $50.00 onto the card at time of purchase. upon arriving home I attempted to register my card ending in numbers ****. Upon completetion I was shown as being declined from registering my card and told I would only be able to use card for in store purchases as well as online purchases. I have tried several times to be able to spend my money on there with nothing but failed attempts. I looked again at my temporary card balance only to find out that even though I can't register my card and have yet to use my own card that ***** has charged me a 9.95 monthly service charge for a card I supposedly have been declined to even register. I am beyond frustrated and customer service has been absolutely useless with helping fix my situation and had no plans of giving back the monthly feeBusiness response

I have not used this prepaid credit card since June 2024. Again, this is a prepaid credit card. I applied for this, in 2023 to help build my credit. I had to give them a $200 deposit of my own money to open the card. I do not have this money back. I order to use the card; you must have money on the card. Once you have used the $200 you have put of your own money each month, cannot use the card at all. This means you cannot ever owe them money or have a balance. This is not a line of credit. I have had issues with this credit card company from the start. They are frauds and thieves. I have recorded a conversation calling to cancel this card. They kept charging me late fees and reporting me to the credit bureau for a prepaid credit card, I do not owe any money to and have recorded conversation of canceling the card. They even agreed to waive the late fees. Now they have the audacity to send me a bill for $200 and $129 of late fees for a card, I cancelled. Late fee's rent waived, and for money I never spent, because it is a prepaid credit card. I cannot use it if I do not have any money on the card to use. I do not owe these people anything. They owe me the $200 deposit they collected when I opened tis card. Please provide an email address, so I can send the recorded conversations of my conversation with the credit card company. They are full of ****. I do not owe them ****!Business response

I filed a dispute on 7/17/2024 for several charges on my BlueBird Card account (the last 4 numbers of the card are *****. I was told that it could take up to 90 days to resolve;m however after 10 business days I can be issued a provisional credit. Because ******** ******* has outsourced their operations to a third-world country. I cannot speak with anyone who has a command of the English language. Therefore, I have called over 20 times without a resolution. I rented a car from an online platform and was repeatedly taken advantage of by being given a car that repeatedly had mechanical issues and asked to have my funds returned to my account. ******** ******* has taken this a step further and has done nothing to at least provide provisional credit to allow me to rent a car elsewhere. I provided receipts, and copies of communications however, ******** ******* has done nothing. At this point if ******** ******* BlueBird needs to continue investigating, I should be allowed a provisional creditBusiness response

I purchased what was labeled as a pre paid visa. After activating the card, the activation message stated that I had opened a bank account. No where did I consent to opening a bank account. Additionally I was charged a 10 dollar monthly bank account fee before I could use the funds. I am having difficulty closing the account as well.Business response

First it is VERY difficult to contact a representative. The card is issued by pathways NA fka Metabank. I purchased a ***** Visa card which is listed as pay as you go but I just needed it to make store and online purchases. I did not want to refill it because I do not meet the requirements to register the card. It states on the card package that you can start using the temporary card to immediately make in store or online purchases and that there is no need to register. I have attempted to use the card multiple times and it gives an error message and states it cannot be used. I called the customer service multiple times and even spoke with technical support and all I’m being told is to use it or register. I have told them multiple times I CANNOT register it as I do not meet the requirements and that I cannot use the card. It also states on the package that you do NOT need to register and can use right away. I asked for a refund and they denied me. I would like a refund of the money that I placed on the card or a new card that works.Customer response

Yes I was double charged by my bank on the 4th and 6th dealing with ******* ******** an insurance with ******* about phone I was credited for the sixth which honestly is the wrong date the 4th was when I was charged which the charge is still pending for the 4th the sixth went through which doesn’t make sense considering the other charge still shows pending. I spoke with my bank they said after 4 days if it’s still pending they would credit the charge back I called and they wouldn’t even humor the idea I have screenshots from the 4 days it took that the cost let service rep mention ñed all I want is my money back for the second charge that was taken from me cause trust me I’ve been charged the 198$ keep in mind the 4&6 of sept is a 99$ ******* charge but they will not fix their mistake and it’s not fair to me to lose money cause a bank decides to screw me over worst part it’s an *** *******Business response
