We hired Mr Holt and paid down payment on April 6th to paint the exterior of our lake home. We wanted this done before rental season picked up and he assured us it would take 6 weeks max to complete the work. On April 20 th I messaged him about status of starting work since nothing had progressed. On April 22nd he asked for a payment in order to rent a lift truck-which I sent that night. No lift truck ever showed up to the house. He continued to ask for additional money, which we sent out of good faith ensuring the job would get done. He continued to ask for more draws u til we paid him almost all the amount quoted (minus $***). At the end of may, he put in writing via text if entire job was not completed within 10 days, he would give a full refund. He missed another deadline and still continues to ask for more money and time. At this point, he continues to no show and the house is half completed on the front and a ton of touch up needs to be done. He also sprayed concrete, trees, windows all of which need to be cleaned. We have told Mr Holt at this time to remove all his items and we no longer need his services as this has been going in for over 90 days now. We will now likely have to hire another painter to either complete the job or redo the entire project costing us more money. His continual missed deadlines have cost us financially including being unable to rent as well as cost us being able to put on the market sooner to sell.
