I used them for an out of state move. When I received my household goods they had stolen over $10,000 of my furniture and I filed a complaint. The company and their insurance company told me I couldnt prove the items that were missing were in their possession when they went missing. They loaded everything took the trucks back to their warehouse and left the next day to drive and deliver my furniture. They are crooks and the employees are thieves.

They spent 3 hours to move 32 inch fridge through 33 inch main door just to charge more money. Finally we moved with the instructions of our friends.they left with the truck to a gas station for 30 mins of lunch time and put that time on our clock. They spent 30 minutes on preparing a waiver for the dents on fridge and again put that 30 mins time on our clock. Total 4 hours of time out of 8 hours was spent on our clock standing around and not doing any work.. Why should we pay for their lunch time of 30 mins and their waiver preparation time off 30 mins? Why did they accept to move appliances if they are not skilled?3 hours to move a refrigerator is unbelievable. They could have said no to appliances if they are not skilled.

This is the most horrible, unprofessional, company. They ran my check card for over $1100 without my consent. They did not plan the move correctly and therefore added extra hours for the staff that moved very slow. The storage was was packed improperly and delicate items was not bubble wrapped! I have several expensive antique pieces that is damaged. 2 marble tops missing to night stands and one broken marble slab for console. All the parts to the beds are missing and we cannot set up beds. They broke the leg off of a very expensive Chester. I made several attempts to resolve the issue but they have offer no resolution and I was advise I could not prove their movers broke the items and lost bed hardware and other! I am requesting my items to be repaired to standard. They also broke the marble out of the kitchen table. I have spoken with Ben and Jared with MyTown and ************** manager called them to relay what an unprofessional job they had done as they were on a list of movers that she shared with her company. They justify their wrong and they should not be considered "professional" Movers, that's not what they are. They waste a lot of time standing around and the day they moved my items they sent one truck and told me they couldn't finish the job the same day???? And again this negotiation was costing me money. What a horrible experience. And a cost of over $1800 for shabby work. I will advise anyone reading this to save yourself the anguish and NOT use this company. You will regret it in the end. They also charged me a reschedule fee of a $150 for not giving a 72 hour notice: But nevertheless just so happen when I called to hire on a Saturday they answered the phone but when I called to reschedule on Saturday they didn't get the call!! ..... I want my money refunded and my broken items fixed and missing items replaced.

************* was originally quoted just under $2000 to pack and move her furniture in two separate days. She rescheduled her move multiple times including once inside of our 72 hour cancellation period which left our crew and truck without work on her schedule moving date which is why she did forfeit the $150 deposit. We Book her for another packing day and on the day of the pack she called to cancel last minute as the crew was leaving the office. We informed her we would have to charge her another cancellation fee in which she replied she did not want to lose another cancellation fee so we agreed to use that time to move some additional items that were not originally part of the quote in which she did sign a contract for an hourly rate. She was only charged a three hour minimum for that job.We came back on the day of the original scheduled Move date and supplied labor at our hourly rate which was agreed-upon. All of her moves were by the hour which was agreed-upon and signed for. She was given a ballpark price for the main move of $1224 and the actual move Took a little bit longer than estimated because nothing was packed and items were loose. The bill on that day only came out to be $1403 but again it was not a flat rate price it was an hourly rate.We are very clear with our insurance policy and My Town Movers does not Insure items being moved into a customers own truck, POD, container or storage unit. ************** moved into a storage unit which she understood was 100% at her own risk. Not only did we inform her that we would not be able to Insure the items going into storage, we also sent her an email notifying her of all of our policies prior to the move and she signed A contract with us which included the exclusion of coverage moving into storage units as well as excepting the charges of the job.In addition to moving items into a storage unit which is outside of our coverage the customer also hired another moving company to move her out of the storage unit. My Town Movers has no way to know who damaged items since we were not the last company to handle the furniture. I apologize for her dissatisfaction but the move was completely unorganized on her end. She was not packed, flaky on dates and had other movers handling her furniture.my Town Movers provided the services agreed-upon and the customer was aware that moving into a storage unit was at their own risk.
