My 17 year old Son joined Planet Fitness in Farragut on July 31. They charged him the initial month fee, which was pro-rated. On the 19th of August, he was charged 2 times of about $25 each (this should have been the cost for his monthly as a black card member, but should have only been charged once). He told the employee at the front desk and the employee said he would let the manager know. Then on September 3, he was charged 2 times for his annual fee ($49x2). Again, he should have only been charged once. At this I went in to speak with them and spoke with the same employee he spoke with. The employee said there was nothing he could do I would have to talk to “corporate.” He game me a number which I called and left a voice mail and didn’t get a response. On the same day, I went to their website and sent a contact request. This was over a week ago and I haven’t received a response. I also called my bank and had them cancel his card and I filed a ACH dispute since he had been overcharged by about $75 to this point (plus the NSF fee). My son checked his account yesterday and found they have charged him another $49. So at this point, he has been charged a little over $200 plus a $32 fee for an NSF fee and has been a member for just over a month. I want all the duplicates refunded and the NSF fee to be paid. I also want no further charges as my son is cancelling.Customer response

My son went on 9/14 and tried to cancel, but they told him that he couldnt cancel immediately and that another monthly payment would come out this week and that his account would be active until next month. He hasnt been billed yet, but i expect that the billing this week will happen twice as all the others have been. To date, he has paid $14.85 (initial and i presume correct), 2 monthly charges on 8/19 ($25.54 and $25.47 respectively) and three annual fees ($49.00 each) in September.
