We used Kaneco for a full home remodel. It was the worst experience you could ever have with a contractor. They didn’t have an architect draw up a blueprint- just a draftsman with a rough outline of dimensions- which had to be altered quite a bit once we got into the job. We had to fix almost everything they touched…To name a few items: -They didn't waterproof our shower and within months of use, it started growing red algae and mushrooms. The outside of the shower had black mold. -They installed chipped tile and the wrong drain. -One month after moving in our guest bathroom sank and cracked the tile in half. They were supposed to reinforce under that bathroom because one of the beams was completely rotted. Instead, they put new thin boards next to it and nailed them to the old rotted board. -They said they could put new red oak next to 70-year-old red oak and make it match & look like white oak with stain. They waited until the end of the job to try it and couldn't remember the stain they chose. Half of our floor turned pink. They were behind on the job so they only finished part of the floor so we could install the kitchen. The floor they finished was so rough I got a splinter when I ran my hand over it. The floor is also so uneven in our main living area that if you put a straight item on it there is a 1.5 inch difference. The brand-new floor also had big holes and gaps between planks. -Every window they installed had a dent or a gap. I could go on and on. Basically, everything they touched had to be redone. There were also major budget discrepancies. They were up charging us 43% for all of their work and when asked about the budget they kept sending us different ones. None of the numbers made sense. We had to sue them and ended up winning over $60k.

This is a company that markets and positions itself as a premium service despite not being capable of the most basic things. What should have taken a few weeks ended up taking multiple months. This was a two-bathroom renovation, and they demoed the first bathroom without even having people scheduled to do the remodeling, which meant we had a demolished bathroom that sat there for 2 weeks before they finally started remodeling it What's even worse is that once they were finished with this odyssey of a renovation it ended up looking absolutely terrible. tons of crooked tiles everywhere and the floor tile in one of the bathrooms formed a large crack within a few weeks. Also turns out they didn't install a shower pan in one bathroom, causing a leak that reached our basement ceiling. Have been putting off repairs but according to estimates we got from actual skilled contractors, it will cost at least $15k to fix all of the damage done by KaneCo Bram Kane and Seth Kane are both dishonest, unskilled, and disorganized people. They lied about their qualifications and simply are not capable of the kind of work that they market themselves on.
