      I have an 03 **** Escape and I bought a coolant heater hose **** inch from Auto Zone that is too small to fit the 1 1/2 inch outlets going from my water pump to intake manifold.I called **** Auto Parts and they have not returned my message about their company making the auto part too small.I called customer service and their representative indicated for me to take my vehicle into ****. I convinced **** in the parts department at Gene Langley Ford to order the part based on the information (phone number) I obtained to locate the part at **** in **********,**. On 10-10-23 I called the **** at **** and he confirmed the part came in and it was the same part that is too small to fit my vehicle. I took my vehcile to the service department at Gene Langley Ford where I spoke to the employee allegedly named *********************. I requested for my vehicle to be repaired and indicted to him that I needed to go to my vehicle to retrieve my contact information from my phone. ***** came out to look at my vehicle while I was going to get my information and I showed him that I was not satisfied with the flex hose that began to collapse and kink preventing the coolant fluid to adequately flow through the coolant system to cool the engine. ***** asked for the original part and I gave it to him. We began to walk back into the building and he indicated if he can't get the part they can't make the repair. I said if the vehicle cannot be repaired I am going to file a lawsuit. ***** handed me back my part and indicated for me to leave the property with my vehicle.

      Unfortunately on a 20 year old vehicle such as the one in question, parts are not always available. We can't repair vehicles if we are not able to procure the correct parts, which we had tried to do previously. I did walk out to the vehicle and look at the hose with him.  ********************** vehicle had bolts that were not tight, silicone everywhere and we could not get parts to repair it. He indicated that he was leaving the vehicle with us and we were going to repair it or he was going to hire an attorney and start a lawsuit. As stated earlier we can't repair his car without the parts to repair it with. I then asked him to take his car and leave. I then went back into the building. This was the end of the exchange.
