Had a signed contract 8/16/2024 to ship car for $600. Day before car was to be picked up and I was flying out, called and changed the price to $850. I was told if I wanted to wait up to 45 days, they may be able to find someone for the original price, which I could not do. Original contract was for $150 deposit and $450 to the driver. New billing was for $550 to the driver and $300 deposit to them, so the extra $150 was their increase.Business response

I do not agree with the reply from the business. Their original contract called for the driver to be paid $450. They claimed he raised the price, which is a lie because they did not have a price when they sent me the original contract. I paid the driver $550, which was $100 more, not $250 more. The deposit is their commission and that was raised from $150 to $300. The girl that I booked with emailed me and said if I didn't take down the complaint, her boss was going to fire her, even though he's the one that raised the price. I told her if he's that big of a jerk, she shouldn't work for him anyway. She offered to reimburse me $100 "out of her pocket" to take the complaint down. I told her no, I want the $250 I was overcharged. This company has a history of bait and switch pricing.Initial Complaint

I thought this was automated service that just wasn’t getting me removed but this last time I received a response of “no”Business response

I unfortunately signed a contract. With US Star Trucking, To transport my 2007 Trailblazer from Staten Island NY to Richmond Indiana. It was to be picked up on 8/28. Dropped off on 8/29. In Indiana & I would need someone to be there to give the driver $250 in cash. They took out ¢.08 to check my Credit Card when the contract was signed On 8/27. US Star Trucking took out $104 on 8/28 I waited till 3 pm and heard nothing no phone call no text. I called and Jack Stone said to me "calm down mame he's coming, no worries, I'll let you know" he was unprofessional and rude. I was sitting and waiting the house ALL day for no reason. My husband finally texts "Jack" and gets a reply of " the truck broke down , we will get it tomorrow" that was at 6 pm. On 8/28 I called him then and said I don't have multiple days and multiple people to have sitting around to wait for the truck and the car. What kind of Company does this. Then he tells me he has 7 days to get the car to Indiana, I said says who. He tells me the contract. The contract says No such thing! He then says if I cancel he will charge me $200. I told him, his driver didn't show. he needs to refund me. The next day, it went back and forth, he then got me a driver, but I was to pay $ 900, or $800. Finally I gave up. Everytime I've called the company # it's a new game. I want my money, they tell me they didn't take it. My credit card statement tells me different. I wonder how many other people, they have ripped off??? I am disabled, I do not work. The money my husband and I use is money he works like a dog for. Not for people like this to steal!!!!Business response

Was given one price in a contract on 6/21/24 then when i reached on 7/22/24 to confirm a few days prior to my pick up day they raised the price by ****. I was told TWICE that they cannot honor the original price because the market had changed so I told them to go ahead and cancel my order and hours later after I had already made other arrangements they responded and said that they would honor the original contract. I told them that I had already made other arrangements and they said that they would be charging me **** for cancelling. When I told them that they changed the contract on me which was the cause for the cancellation they denied it and said that was not true and the contract was being honored even though I have in text message that they were not honoring the original price. Then when speaking to their "customer service" agents they were very rude and yelled at me over and over and started making personal jabs at me. If I could give negative stars I would. Date of Transaction: June 5 Scheduled Delivery: June 7 Date Arrived: Junes 7 Date Damaged the Vehicle: June 7 Date Promised to Fixed: June 10th Date Fixed: Pending This company attempted to deliver the car on June 7. However, the driver, while pulling of trailer damaged the bumper, side mirror and headlight all in 3 tries of trying to get the car off the trailer. the driver advised he didn’t speak English and didn’t damaged the car. So we called the police. After we called the police he then confessed the damages and was able to get his boss on the phone. The owner of the company asked if we wanted money in hand or he has a car shop and he can fix it. We said fix it however it has been 3 weeks he still hasn’t delivered the car. We have care insurance, car note, and down payment for a car we don’t have. When we call they pick the phone and hang up. The reps, say they don’t speak English, we leave voicemails no calls back. No real update has been given on the carBusiness response

I contracted with US Star Trucking to transport my vehicle for **** and sent a check for ****. The day of pick up they called to inform me that the price would be *****. I asked for a refund. After many, many contacts, they told me that their financial department would send a check. Nothing has come yet even after calls with Alex, Clint and Brian. I want my refund for contract that THEY did not honor.Business response

This company quoted one price scheduled the service the changed the price on the day of pick up. They leave you with no options if you need to schedule delivery of your car on time to a specific location. It’s a really bad bait and switch tactic. Ever use them again.Business response
