Excellent Roofing came out to inspect my roof after Snow, Ice, Wind storm in January 2024. Was inspected while it was dark, with ********** on roof. Water was rolling down wall around large window upstairs. Said roof was fine, but could not see whole roof, it was dark & he only look at the 1 area, paid $5000 for repair only to hv additional leaks around fireplace & vaulted ceiling, after many calls with no action, finally came back, took pictures. After many more calls, said I needed whole new roof for approximately $24,500,00! Said problem around *******, broken shingles, shingles not glued down, etc. I paid them $1400 in 2018 to re-grout my chimney. Complained roof was not thoroughly inspected when came out n dark, should hv been included in previous inspection!!! Couldnt get them to come back, said that person was responsible, not them. I pointed out to them my $5000 check was made out to Excellent Roofing not an individual. This person is no longer with ************** will not take my call! Lost track of number of calls made to them, no response! How can u do $5000 n repairs & then need new roof at that price? DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS CO. They deserve no Stars!

I contracted Excellant Roofing - ***********************, owner to put a new roof on my house in 2017.. Since then I have had nothing but leaks around my fireplace obvious spots on my ceiling . *** , in ur review it appears we have the same issues.. I called them to come out & inspect & repair my roof. ***************** proceeded to tell me it was not his problem , but an insulation issue in my attic ?? He took pictures & promised he would send to me , but I never received them .. I called an Insulation, a Contractor & a Roofing Contractor out to inspect ., They agreed it was a FAULTY ROOFING JOB!! Each wrote letters stating this issue ! I have called Excellant Roofing many times requesting copies of the pictures he took & asking for resolution in fixing ******* which is still under Warranty!! Ive emailed & attached the mentioned letters to Excellant Roofing many times with NO RESPONSE!! How can an owner remain in business being dishonest & ignoring its ***************************************** ****

I hired Excellent Roofing company to replace our roof and install gutters in the spring of 2019. After a storm in 2021, I had the first gutter fall. I called several times, but they never would reply. As this gutter was in the front of my house, I repaired this gutter myself. Then, after the storm in March, 2023, I had another gutter fall. After several no-show appointments, ****** finally came out with his lead technician and verified the gutters were indeed installed with the incorrect screws and he said they would make the repairs / replace the screws for correct installation of ALL my gutters, under warranty without charging their $250 fee. After (again) numerous no-show repair appointments, they stopped taking my phone calls, replying to texts and/or emails. Here it is, September 8th, my gutter is still being supported by my ladders. As this gutter is much longer, I cannot re-install this one by myself, nor should I have to repair faulty workmanship.

This company is not what I expected. I have leak around my chimney and they want to charge me $250 to come out and look at it. They put the roof on my house less than 2 years ago and as for a warranty, there is not one. They stated that in their contract that they are not responsible for leaks around chimneys. Beware the fine print and shame on Excellent Roofing. I am designer and have referred this company many times to my clients. But from now on when I am ask for a referral they will not receive it and I will warn them about what to expect should they used you.

On 8/5/21 my chimney cap was replaced for $1785 and no warranty exclusion was on the invoice. I continued to have water leaks in my attic and contacted Excellent Roofing. Pictures were taken by Excellent Roofing on 12/11/21 and 12/21/21. On 12/29/21 the vent caps were resealed for $579.50 and the fireplace was looked at again but no issues were identified. In January Excellent Roofing contacted me and said they needed to remove the cap and take it back to the fabricator. That was the last communication with Excellent Roofing. On 1/19/22 I contacted another roofer for the attic leaks. He repaired all of the vent caps that were not sealed properly and reflashed the chimney. I was told the cap was installed improperly creating a fire hazard, gave me a picture, and John B******'s phone number. I text Mr. B****** on 1/19/22 to update him on the poor workmanship. Mr. B****** responded to my text and said he would take a look at it. That was the last communication with Excellent Roofing. I've gotten an estimate from the ************** and a new cap needs to be installed at the cost of $1850 with a 5 year warranty. I am seeking a refund from Excellent Roofing since the cap does not meet codes.
