My Mother, *********************************, recently deceased, owned a life insurance policy issued by ********************************** I, *****************************, am the Executor of my moms estate. A few years ago *********************** either was bought out or closed. They claimed they couldnt find my mother at the address on file. My mom had lived at the same address for 50+ years. So AG turned the $500 insurance policy over to the Tennessee **************************** This action should never happened as my Mom hasnt ever lived in Tennessee. This was an error on AG and Tennessee. Should have been State of *******. I have filed the paperwork to reclaim the funds, and have supplied Tennessee with everything they required. The problem is they keep adding more information needed. I was told once I needed a Fed ID number which we werent required to get by Paulding county Georgia Probate because there wasnt anything in the estate to probate. Tennessee told me I could submit a letter explaining this -which I did. Now Im told Tennessee must have the Fed ID number in order for me to cash the insurance check. I dont believe this is required by my moms bank. I need help making Tennessee *************************** to turn over the $500 insurance money. They have strung me on for 2-3 months. I need this money to settle my Moms estate. The claim no. Is: *******Business response

We have resolved this issue with the claimant ***************************. ******************************* turned over $500 to the State of Tennessee Unclaimed Property program. The funds were listed for a ******** Walrauen. ******************** filed a claim and submitted her documentation as Executor over ********s estate. When a 1099 is issued the *** requires the Tax ID of the *********************. We contacted ******************** and was able to resolve her issue.Customer response
