I stayed here for 3 months. I noticed that I started coughing alot. The apartment had a weird smell. I started researching the smell and reading some reviews on Tara Hills. Come to find out they paint over mold and mildew. Sickening...I broke my lease because of this and because my mom fell and broke her foot. Tara Hills said they would only charge me for 2 months of rent but they are now charging me for 4 months of rent for breaking the lease. This place is horrible and unprofessional in the 3rd degree!!!Business response

Good afternoon.
I have attached some documents to this response showing that Gawain did break his lease early, however, Gawain cited his reasoning for breaking his lease as his mother sustaining an injury and him needing to care for her round the clock requiring him to relocate. We do not have any history of maintenance requests from Mr. Johnson for mold in his apartment. We did adjust his move out costs as a courtesy as you can see in these notes as well as his financial statement being amended. We did this as courtesy when we were informed of his mother's injuries.
We are sorry to hear that Mr. Johnson has reported us the BBB as we did try to accommodate him as much as possible when it comes to the balance owed to us as outlined in his lease. We were not aware of any mold in his apartment and do wish we would have been notified of an issue so that we would have had a chance to rectify that for him.
