On November 30, 2021, I signed a contract with Eagle Excavation to perform several scopes of work including concrete pads, asphalt parking/driveway, land clearing/grading, and excavation of a pond. Contract #117 for $25,000 was signed by both parties with a 50% deposit prior to starting work. A cashier's check was drafted and immediately cashed by the company while we were at the bank such that work could be started two days later. Work started December 2, 2021 and continued through Saturday, December 4, 2021. The only scope of work that was even attempted was some grading work in preparation for asphalt and concrete. The total number of hours of work was less than 18 and only included a bobcat/operator. No other personnel performed work on-site. Beginning Sunday, December 5, 2021 and continuing through the end of the year, the weather played a part in delaying the work but the excuses were constant that it was either too wet, employees were sick, or the bobcat wasn't working. At some point in January 2022, the company completely halted any attempts to complete the work because of "family" problems surrounding the company equipment, theft of the deposit by a brother, etc. On January 12, 2022, I proposed a fair settlement given the fact that the company was not going to do any more work. I offered to accept a $9,000 refund of the $12,500 deposit. This means the company would have been paid more than $3,500 for less than three full days of work. The company agreed that was a fair amount and that we would settle up on January 24, 2022. On January 23, 2022, the company asked for more time to gather the $9,000. They asked to settle up on Monday, February 7, 2022. I agreed to give them additional time. The company did not show and texted just 7 minutes before our settlement meet that they needed more time. I stated that I could meet them later that night to pick up the money. No response. If BBB cannot help legal action will be pursued.

The two brothers *** and *** ********* of *** **** ** ******** *** XXXXX showed up at my vacant lot to give me a price on cutting trees, hauling them and brush away to a dump site and finish a roughed in driveway, smoothing, leveling, creating a channel for water flow and putting down gravel. Chiseling some ledge from an area to enlarge and hauling rock away to a dump site. We agreed to $17,000 for a completed job, they requested 3 installments, the first at day of cutting trees of $5,000. They cut approximately 7 trees down and left to return the next day, on that day claimed a flat tire, so one tree cutter came and cut 5 trees of the 20 to be cut. Next day no one showed and I called and texted them he said they were all sick vomiting and at a doctor's office. As I looked at their google ad another reviewer claimed they stole his money and did exactly the same thing, doing a little and never returning. I spent my whole day today at the local police dept, then to the out of city limits police dept, to the District Attorney's office and on the phone with the Rutledge police dept. Where they live and have their business.
