We hired this Man *********** ******* to Paint the inside of our home, put in flooring, and minor repairs. He has taken our money and ran without completing work, price gouging constantly & asking for advancements and draws of a staggering amount before doing the work. He has misrepresented himself, when I interviewed him I asked him if he had employees to do the work as I wanted it done before Thanksgiving. He did state he did the majority of the work, but had "people". He lied, he has no one working for him. He was paid $850 advancement for the painting, and just a day into work gave my elderly mother a sob story about not being able to pay his bills and had 5 children while I was away. He wanted an additional $500 which he referred to as a draw. He was standing there when she told me and I felt pressured to pay even though I knew I shouldn't have, which was foolish of me. Then he VANISHED for a week and ghosted me. His wife finally answered my text that he was "in the hospital". He texted at a later date that it would be a couple of weeks before he could finish. Well, like I said I wanted this done before the holidays, but accepted it if he "was truly in the hospital". I asked if he could resume on the 27th of Nov and he said he would. He did 2 days of painting and told me he needed and additional $1000! He had not even finished half of the painting and I saw that we were truly getting taken advantage of! While I was at a doctor's appointment he once again tried to hit my mother up for more money. She told him he was overpaid already and told him to complete the job he was already paid for and to just forget about the back bedroom & bath and finish living room and kitchen. He got mad and just left! He left without doing half of what he was paid to do. He took my kitchen floor trimming too. I requested it back and he is ghosting me. He left the furniture pulled out and my mother are both disabled He also damaged our foyer floor.
