If I could give 0 stars I would. First, I was told I would get a 30-minute call before coming. I am a nurse as I explained and needed to have ample time to get home. The technician called me to tell me he was 15 minutes away but reassured me he would come at 2 pm. My appointment time was between 11-4 pm. 350pm I called the office to see if I was still getting service. The person who answered the phone was all but nice and said your work order says it's in progress so it will get done, not I am sorry let me follow up and get back with you or anything. I attempted to call the technician myself, but my call was sent straight to voicemail. Ironically right after I called the office, I received a call saying that he was running behind and it would be much later. Once he arrived, he went up into the attic and gave me his opinion of what he found. He asked me if I had had my roof done recently as it seemed that the issue was caused by them. He then told me don't worry I will tell the company that it was riddled by heat so your home warranty would cover it. He told me that I would be out of pocket for some "licensing" fees but that was it. I received a quote for 4800$. He also told the company that my roof was repaired very recently which was not true at all, I never told him how long ago it was. I asked for a 2nd opinion and there was no such thing as licensing fees and my quote was over $1000 less for the same issue. Not only was he dishonest but if it was truly caused by roof repairs why would you tell a customer you would lie for them? Stay far away from this company!Review from Debbie S

My home warranty sent Texas HVAC. When *** arrived they went in the attic then outside. They came back & said they were going to recommend to warranty company that the inside & outside units be replaced. This is something I have had done on another house but the difference this time was that instead of my service fee covering replacement *** told me MY OUT OF POCKET would be $3500-$5500...claiming my warranty would not cover some of the items in the replacement. The **************** sent out a 2nd opinion by their top rated HVAC & the only issue with my system is that there is zero ************* may be a leak that caused it & possibly a new coil will be needed, all of which will be covered (as would the replacement had it actually been necessary). Now I have to wait for "approval" of leak detection, ********************************* of Freon & maybe coil replacement. The *** was trying to get ME to pay for a brand new system then they were also going to bill for payment from warranty company, double-dipping. If I had to pay these fees while also paying fee to have a home warranty plus $85.00 service fee there would be no need for me to have a home warranty. In the 2 decades of having a home warranty never, have I ever, had any additional cash outlay for items covered in the warranty. It seems post Covid I am running into this more & more where companies are literally charging both the home owner AND the home warranty for their services gouging, lying & double-charging unsuspecting, trusting homeowners. BEWARE-this company flat out LIED & I can't prove it, but they never said the Freon was empty OR there might be a leak so Im sadly left to wonder if they drained the Freon. THIS COMPANY TRIED TO SCAM ME - DO NOT USE THEM OR THEY MAY WASTE YOUR TIME & TRY TO SCAM YOU TOO.... thank goodness the home warranty sent out a 2nd opinion & protected me.Review from Barbara F

First American Warrenty sent research Texas HVAC LLC to repair our air conditioner unit. Was told unit need replacement with a new unit. Was charged $3000 for parts that never was done for new unit does not work. Air conditioner would never turn off nor cool housr. After calls everyday to First American and Texas HVAC would lie everyday coming for weeks. Finally came back July 8,2023 after GP Inspector came week prior and failed their work. GP Inspector said none of work charged was completed and 2 caps outside way over price charged $325. Also a box that wasn't needed. Charged for a slab that's already there. Now the unit completely stop working today. First American is trying to wash their hands and Texas HVAC. WE MUST PURSUE LEGAL ACTIONS ON BOTH.Review from Troy R

My home warranty company sent these scammers to my house. The technician was condescending, got mad when I watched him work, wanted to up charge for items unrelated to the warranty call AND didn't fix the issue. The technician kept saying "your warranty will be voided if you dont get a new drain, if you dont clean your coils, I can and the charge is $150", and never one time looked at why my AC wasnt working. Called warranty company and said I didn't want the same tech. This company had the AUDACITY to yell me, said I should PAY for another service call and have another company come do the work. Called home warranty company and told them to not charge me, but take the money from these SCAMMERS and have a ********* company come fix my AC. BTW a REAL AC company did fix my issue. If I could give negative stars I would. SCAMMERS!Review from Madeline H

DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE! Just like the below, *** said the Home Warranty will be denied. They were trying to charge me $4,600 for two coils' labor and "permits" ONLY (not the actual coils) which is a rip off and has been confirmed by another trusted contractor. I will be reporting them to American Home Shield, who has agreed to pay a cash out to me to cover the charges I will use with a different, trustworthy contractor. *** stated they were actually covering the coil and the Freon, which **** at the office tried to tell me was not the case. This is a business that needs to be avoided at all costs. They lied to me, and it took me talking to a supervisor at AHS to get the real story. I hope they go out of business for trying to rip off innocent people in the heat of Texas *******.Review from Patrick M

Home warranty sent this company to our home. Avoid at all costs, you will pay upfront and then pay again for it later if they service your house. The tech was rude, lied about the issues with our unit, charged us $600, and then left before actually checking to make sure the ** was working. When he was forced to return, he blamed ** and offered a replacement unit for 4-5k because "the home warranty will definitely deny your claim and it will take a week". After getting other quotes and researching, there's no way it should have been that inexpensive for a 2-story home. Whatever he would have put in wouldn't have cooled the house properly and chances are high the work would have been shoddy (which is what caused all the issues in the first place). Now that I know better, I would have forced the previous owners to put in a new system before we bought the house. Live and learn. The fact that any home warranty company would work with these people is highly suspect and while I know no one will lose sleep over this, it's shocking that any of the people involved in this process can sleep at night knowing how poorly they treat their customers and the caliber of human they choose to work with.It feels strange to even say the word "ashamed" in a yelp review, but everyone at every step of this nightmare was awful. We contacted a different company that has been in business for a longer time and while it was much more expensive, they explained everything they were doing in detail a normal person could understand and walked me through all the work step by step.Stay FAR AWAY from Texas HVAC Repair--especially if you are going through your home warranty--which has the clear objective of not actually fixing any issue or having to pay out any money on your behalf and will string you along while you bake in 100-degree heat in the summer.Review from Castor T

Not thorough. It looks like we have the same issue as the other customer. On my side though, he blamed it on the disconnect box having loose connection that affected the compressor. Which to me doesn't make sense. As before I called them, I checked the same box for loose connection and found everything to be tight all way through. Gave that lacking report to my insurance and got denied. After an hour, I received a call from technician and offering me a system that he can get for $6800. I know we all all want side hussle but atleast do the job you are rendered to do.I went to thumbtack to get an independent technician for 2nd opinion as I am not confident on his troubleshooting style. The other technician came and helped him on the check from inside to outside systems. We open the top of the system unit and inside that is the compressor unit. Under that is the wiring going to control board and noticed that there is burnt wiring which we believed had a short circuit as the insulation of the wire opened up and short circuited when it rained that time. And that is the time when we lost the ac system. Texas HVAC repair technician made the same incorrect diagnosis causing my insurance to get denied.
