This is the worst place to attend Cosmetology School. The owner Ms. ***** is only out for the Money. It cost $10,000 to attend this school and they have a poor curriculum, not enough instructors who create a negative environment with poor attitudes. The owner doesn't invest in the School or the students and students are not prepared to their State Test.

D. EXPLANATION: Describe your complaint in detail. On June 6, 2022, I visited bella to receive wash and blow dry service on my natural "loc" hairstyle. After speaking with staff instructor Yahisha, she assigned me a student and she suggested that she re-twist my "locs". I agreed and that was the end of discussion; later I requested that my eyebrows were to be waxed also. When all this was completed, the student returned and told me my **** total was $79. I was appalled because I have been a bella customer for several years and always knew them to be a reasonable priced teaching facility for the community. So of course I asked to speak to the director in charge to discuss the issue. The director gave me two (2) excuses for the outrageous charge: first, that the student working on my hair was really a professional because she had worked for several years on hair; well of course I took exception to that since I reminded her that she was in fact still a student who hadn't completed her statutory required hours or she would already be conferred her cosmetology licensure; secondly she informed me that she had called an area braid shop hairstylist and inquired what they charged to braid someone's hair approximate the length of my hair and was informed that it would cost about $150, and my response to that was that I did not have "false braids or extensions" added into my hair! My "locs" are my natural hair and length! So she was comparing apple to oranges... Further, bella is a teaching facility for students to practice on willing public consumers at a reasonable rate and not at 'market rate' like they are liscensed cosmetologist. I was never formally consulted about the cost of services until after the student finished with my hair and that is not doing good and equitable business in today's economy. We have enough problems with gasoline being $5 and $6 gallon, no milk on grocery shelves, and other traumas going on throughout our communities without price *****

I will prepare an appropriate response. The employees at the school tell me that they have "the incident" on video and they recognized the NEED to video when the customers language became foul and her physical behavior became overt and alarming.
