I was racially profiled by a store employee who loudly embarrassed me in front of other customers. I have been a Whole Foods customer for over twenty years and Brandon a store manager accused me of stealing and tried to force me to use a basket in front of customers. Brandon engaged in inappropriate conversation and he then asked me to provide my name while I was shopping which made me uncomfortable. I didn't see any other customers being asked to provide their names while shopping. I asked Brandon why you are bothering me. Brandon returns saying it's now the store's policy for me to use a basket. I said excuse me, I have never heard of this policy. So Brandon was insulating I was stealing. I told Brandon we would have a serious problem if he kept harassing me. Racial profiling is illegal, it's wrong and unacceptable. Harassment of a person in a grocery store is not okay. I will file a formal civil rights complaint against Brandon because of the treatment I received at my local Whole Foods market.Review from 70

Was terminated recently at the ******** store after returning a customer's abuse back to him. The impression I got from management was 'the customer is always right.' **** team didn't respond to my feelings...being a bunch of androids. Manager a giggling immature schoolgirl who believes in double standards. Team leaders snitchers galore! Fellow team members great and work together. Old timers say prior management much better than these ??s. Tried to get reinstated thru corporate but too many forms to fill out...I think they do this deliberately to frustrate you.Customer Response

Keep leaving messages to tell corporate my side of what happened with customer...no response. They even gave me a 'customer (CARE!...hah!) case' #...but don't respond. I wonder how many others get a case # but no response. As an old saying goes...,'Very Interesting.Review from Sandra I.

This regards a home delivery dated 10/4/24 from Whole Foods Market The delivery, which arrived at the end of the day after my early morning order, was short 2 bottles of Harthill Farms chardonnay wine. This was because the delivery person dropped at least one of the bottles and neglected to inform me-- I learned of this from some workers outside my home. And then when I looked into my order, it was short the aforementioned 2 bottles. I left a message on the delivery website but no one responded, and I can prove nothing because the delivery person did not leave a ********** very careful if you order home delivery from Whole Foods. There is a string likelihood you will be cheated.Review from Steph R

I went in a couple of times over the last few months and each time was treated like a common criminal. One of the employees was a total creep and stood behind me as I was checking out. I asked if he was ok and he responded with "I'm fine" and continued to stare at me as I was checking out. As I was getting ready to pay he started telling me that I missed some things from my purchase, implying that I was stealing. I complained to the manager but I'm not sure that anything was done about it. On 9/10/24 I went to get something and one of the employees came up and stood behind me once again as I was cashing out. I walked away after I was done and I saw her print out my receipt and attempted to be discreet as she handed it to another employee. If you guys have a problem with your customers, maybe approach them kindly instead of behaving like trash? I haven't done a single thing to deserve this type of behavior, nor have I ever experienced it anywhere else I have been. I pay for everything and have no need to steal something as stupid as a role. This is very concerning.Review from apostle p

I am writing to report difficulties I experienced while trying to obtain a refund at Whole Foods (WFM). On 8/24/24 at 6pm, I purchased a pack of organic strawberries at the ************* WFM (********************************) and refrigerated them immediately. On 8/27 I opened the pack and found that they were molded and rotting, seemingly from the bottom. I have to make arrangements for rides to shop, so I knew that I could not immediately return them, and it is impractical to try to store moldy produce. So, on 8/28, I contacted WFM to ask for assistance with a refund. I was issued a case# ref:!00DF00gR7X.!5004u033ONzH:ref. I was advised via email to provide pictures and receipt and that the refund would be credited back to the tender(s) used. I did so and on 8/29 was denied a refund because EBT was a part of the payment. WFM demanded that I return the rotting produce to the store. I advised that I discarded the moldy, smelly rotting produce once they acknowledged receipt of the requested pictures. I asked that they issue the $5.99 refund to the Mastercard also used at the time pf purchase. WFM refused to do so or otherwise facilitate a refund, stating "We are unable to process a refund back to your Master Card since the amount balance is insufficient. EBT purchases must be refunded at the store." This response makes no sense. What does my MC "balance" have to do with a refund? Further, WFM has no idea what my MC "balance" is anyway! I requested to be contacted by a supervisor. My request has been ignored. I have repeatedly reiterated this request in 24 hour intervals, and, to date, WFM has refused to respond. It is apparent that WFM deems customers who use EBT as second class consumers who are unworthy of the respect, courtesy and conveniences afforded to those who don't use EBT. It is unconscionable that they refuse to compensate consumers to whom they sell moldy produce. It is also unacceptable that *** deliberately refuses to respond to a supervisor request.Review from Lisa S

What I did not like with this grocery shopping experience at Whole Foods on Friday July 19th. That the female cashier was very rude. I said hello she did not speak back, I said thank you as I was leaving she did not even speak. I bagged my own groceries which I have no problem, I guess I was taking too long to organize my groceries and the one bag of groceries that she bagged she just threw my items in there sloppy. I did not know this cashier she was of a Indian or Pakistan descent. But what baffled me was the customers in front of me, which was a Caucasian man the cashier was smiling, she greeted him and thank him for coming to Whole Foods she did not greet me, when I spoke to her. She did not speak at all she didn't even tell me my total I had to look on the screen credit machine. Then as I was leaving it was another man behind me and she greeted him and was speaking to him and smiling so I don't know if she has a problem with African American women but her disposition was very nasty to me. I'm not sure what her nasty disposition was but she was very rude and that deterred my opinion of Whole Foods. I absolutely cannot believe the treatment I received it on Friday July 19th I will be posting this on social media and I will post this on a ****** review this was insane.Review from SILVER P.

Whole Foods Market advertised the first 90 days of a subscription for home delivery of groceries FREE.. This was on a big yellow banner on the Amazon website. So I decided to have groceries delivered from this market, since delivery for the first 90 days was free. It took me to a page to choose the credit card to use for when the 90 days was over (I thought.) There was actually no information on the page at all, except a list of the credit cards I had on file with them, in order for me to choose which one to use for the remainder of the subscription. I chose one and it immediately CHARGED ME $10.75 TO MY BANK for a supposedly "free" subscription. I spent more than half an hour on the phone with them. The Amazon people had me call Whole Foods and Whole Foods just said no you have to call Amazon, then Amazon told me AGAIN to call Whole Foods. The last Amazon agent refused to let me speak to a supervisor and tried to convince me that charging me money for a subscription for something that was supposed to be FREE made complete sense! I wonder how stupid they think we are, really? I finally GAVE UP and called my bank to dispute the charge and spent a LOT of needless time on the phone. I am ordering groceries from someone else and will never shop Whole Foods again. They are WAAAAY too expensive as it is, and now that I have been CONNED by them into paying for a "free" subscription, I will never trust them not to cheat me in some other way.Review from Alesha D

I recently visited your store on June 17, at the Whole Foods in ************, ********, for the advertised 12 oysters for $12 deal for Prime Members. I was told I needed to order 24 hours in advance to have them shucked, which was not stated in the advertisement. The employee slammed down the oysters when I asked them to be shucked. Additionally, the store manager was rude and unprofessional when I brought this up. Please ensure all conditions are clear in future ads and address the staff's behavior.Review from Gage M

Spoiled food everywhere. Hateful employees in the front and back of house as well as a few true creeps. Store management let's sexual predators and pedophiles roam free because they're too lazy to hire more people. False promises and price gouging galore. They shouldn't call themselves "America's healthiest grocery store" when that is factually wrong. There is as much junk in this store as any other and shoppers are better off going almost anywhere else and taking the time to learn about what goes into their food. Don't support this evil Amazon run sweat shop. Save your money and start a garden instead. Happy shopping! Also the address for this store is now ********************************************************************.
