      The worst car buying experience in almost every way. Lied about the car's CPO status, tried to change my APR multiple times, did not answer or return my calls until I got in contact with a manager, then they messed up my paperwork in multiple ways. As compensation for my horrible experience, they said they would make my first car payment on my behalf - I just called my bank and they do not have any record or note of the dealership providing the first payment. Every way they could have messed something up, they did. In my experience, Austin Subaru is incompetent, unprofessional, uncommunicative, inconsistent, and borders on fraudulent.

I understand that we promised to cover your first car payment, and I assure you that this has always been our intention. As we discussed, the check was mailed to your credit union in July, but it was returned to us due to some missing information. Our accounting department has since corrected this, and the check is on its way back to your credit union. Again, we apologize for the challenges you faced during this process. Your satisfaction is our top priority, and I appreciate you taking the time to talk through this with me.       We leased a car from Austin Subaru. Toward the end of the three year lease, we told them that we would likely purchase the car (for the residual value in the lease). One of their salespeople asked if we would like them to email an invoice to us. We agreed that they should do this. They sent us an invoice that included $1,597 of extra charges. When I told them that I never wanted to do business with them again, the manager called me. He said that these two charges were automatically generated by their computer system and it was an oversight to not remove them. Automating something like this doesn't make it any less deceptive or fraudulent. In addition, this was an experienced salesperson, so I am skeptical that it was an oversight.
