ABA Appliance Repair made me pay for a repair for an appliance they did not repair to working order. They came to do a diagnostic on my clothes Dryer. The initial technician gave me an estimate of repair cost and parts needed and gave me the impression that my Dryer could be repaired. I put down a deposit of half the cost to order parts and schedule the repair based on this assessment. A second appointment was scheduled and a different technician was sent out to do the actual repair. I felt he knew immediately that the repair he was set to do was not going to fix the problem and get my Dryer in working condition. It did not work upon repair and I was given another estimate for an additional part that needed to be ordered and asked to pay the remainder for the day's work even though my appliance was not repaired. I declined to order the additional part and was not confident it could be fixed at this point. When I explained that I should not be charged the second half when they did not get my appliance in working order, I immediately received a collections type call from their office (which was very rude and I felt threatened if I did not pay). I additionally asked for a detailed breakdown of what I was paying for (cost of parts, cost of vent clean, cost of labor) and was told I could maybe get that from a supervisor after I paid. I have not received it. Had I done my due diligence before contacting ABA Appliance Repair, I would have seen that this is a consistent complaint with them based on reviews on other consumer websites (Yelp for example). I felt like I was scammed into committing to a payment that did not end in a working appliance.

Since no "Star" is not an option, I reluctantly give it one star. ABA is an Authorized ********* repair company. When you are an Authorized ********* ****** *******, you expect quality. Originally thought the lack of quality of service is a post Covid thing consumers will have to deal with, but as my ********* ****** ****** ******** ** *** * *** ****** ** **** * ********* ********* Warranty repair contractor, I found out that poor quality service is situational with the individual repair contractors. ABA Appliance Repair, Inc. did the normal service calls, which I was forced to seek out a 2nd opinion, and found a Certified ********* ******** work contractor that does most of *********** Warranty related work in Central ***** and came highly recommended by the management in the field that work with *********, now ***** *wned.I find out from the Warranty contractor that ABA Appliance had done extensive internal damage to the mother boards, which were back ordered for months. Only way to damage the mother boards was during the process in which ABA Appliance incorrectly repaired the original damaged defrost kit, they were called to repair, and the ** interactive screen which also became collateral damage. This is a 4 yr old $11,000 out of warranty ********* ******* After ********* had their Certified Warranty Contractor come out and backtracked ABA's initial work, and discovered the extended damage beyond the original defrost kit replacement work ABA had done; ********* did a one time pro **** warrantied all the parts and labor to repair my fridge with the Certified Warranty Work Contractor. I give everyone the benefit of the doubt, but I waited until ********* did their discovery with their contractor and educated me. I approached ABA to only have them continue to lie about the situation. They damaged the fridge beyond the initial visit, lied, covered up, and walked away from the repair.Who does this in these tough times? Kudos to *********!!!!
