I ordered a kayak from Austin Canoe & Kayak, I had the money to purchase the kayak in full but I financed if with them through a bank called *************** The months passed by as I was making my payments and staying in touch with "ACK", when almost a year passed they finally called me to inform me that my kayak would be in the shop shortly and asked if I'd like to wait a bit longer for the kayak or if I would like a return which I wasn't sure how that would work because I financed the kayak so I told them I'd like to wait a bit longer since I had already waited this long. The year passed and I had not heard from ACK for a while and so I went to check on their website and it stated that the business was permanently closed and I had still not received my kayak... they did me wrong by not informing me that the business was going under. I then contacted ************** to see if I could get a refund for the money that I had payed off for the kayak but no one was able to help and they only told me that they could refund me about $50 which is nothing near to what I payed off. I payed off $655 to ************** and was fooled by ACK into thinking that I would receive my kayak. I have dates of transactions to Synchrony if that would help in this case, I would either like to have the kayak that I was supposed to receive or the money that I had payed off for the kayak back. I purchased my Kayak from Austin Kayaks on December 10th of 2021, I know it was the holiday season and delivery could possibly be delayed with everything going on. I would check my package periodically, and it looked as if it was in transit. Well Jan 10th rolled around and there was no change in my delivery status. I called and was told my delivery was on hold, by ACK. Contacted ACK no response. I was provided another number to call to get an update through YRC I was told by a representative of YRC the Austin Kayaks closed the business and that YRC was holding packages that customers PAID for because ACK owes them money. I was working Directly with a manager ***** who verbally said we are working to get this issue resolved, I should be able to get your package out next week. Im sending emails to another manager ***** who never acknowledged the emails!! Well now Feb 10th rolls by, same response week after week. Well as of Feb 14th I had not received a follow up, so I tried to dispute the charges with my bank, and was told its beyond the 60 day dispute period. I called ***** to let him know I cant get my money back, I was told there was meeting that would be held on Friday Feb 18th ad he would get back to me. Well as of today March 1st I was told ***** no longer works in the department, and to call ***** directly. I called got the voicemail and left a message hoping to get a resolution. I didnt want to file complaints, but now I cant get my money back, and I dont have a product!!! If ACK owes you money go after them!!!!
