I have seen the exact details of my situation listed out by other individuals, so this is an ongoing business scam. I parked at a parking lot immediately adjacent to East Side King to pick up an online food order. I saw towing signs, but nothing that explicitly mentioned I could not park there for East Side King--only an address of the shopping center. I had no idea what the address was, I just knew this parking lot was literally right next to the restaurant I was walking into. I left my car for a mere 45 seconds before I come back to a guy walking away from my car who had just booted it. He asked if I was the owner of the vehicle, like he hadn't just stalked me in the parking lot and been waiting for this exact instance to happen. He declared I had to pay $100 on the spot to get the boot off. It was dark at night, and this intimidating man is demanding money from me, a young girl alone. I explained how I was unaware of the parking situation and was gone for 45 seconds, but he did not care at all. I had no idea if he was legit, but I was scared and flustered and ended up paying to get out of the unsafe situation. This company clearly has no morals and relies on stalking and intimidation to force well-intentioned people into paying them. This needs to stop now, Capital Parking.

8/26/22 4:54 PM.I parked at a south ***** location, walked away from my car for 10 SECONDS and walked straight back to my car to leave. I am not being sarcastic. IT WAS TEN SECONDS. There was a man there that was actively booting my car and told him to give him 100 dollars to get it off. I did not see signs that you would get booted. 10 seconds is ridiculous. I feel like I got mugged. This is a scam. It is at least understandable if it was a few minutes, even one minute.

7/28/2022 I parked for two minutes in a parking lot to pick up an order and was booted. The parking lot was empty and I was not obstructing business in any way. There was no visible signage that said I would be committing a parking violation. I was charged $100 for parking my car in a spot for two minutes. That was the only money I had left until my next paycheck. It is absolutely ridiculous that they can scam people. I also believe that their booting license has expired so they are within their right.

On 6/29/2022, I parked to visit the ************** restaurant at **********************************. I wasn't sure if I could park in the location, so I went in to the restaurant to ask. They said that I would be booted quickly, so I walked back out to move my carit all took less than 90 seconds. When I walked out, an employee (***********************) was in the process of booting my car. I asked him to stop, but he said no and that I was parked illegally. I told him that I had only stepped in to the restaurant to ask, but he demanded $100. I refused, but I realized that I had no other recourse and paid. There was no way for me to tell that East Side King was off the property, and this seems like a malicious scam. I will be filing a police report and contacting a lawyer.

Parked in a parking lot right behind East Side kings to pick up an Uber eats order, was inside no longer than ***** seconds and come out to a boot on my car the gentleman seemed to not be expecting me on my way out but regardless payed the $100 dollars to get the boot off of my car. This just seems like a total scam and cant believe these people feel like they have the right to just watch and boot whomever they want especially for something so minuscule. Had I been parked there for a prolonged period of time Id understand the need to boot the car but 20 seconds Have no words for whoever is pulling off this scam completely disgraceful and embarrassing.

I was illegally booted by this company outside of East Side King on South Congress. I was then forced and intimidated into paying them $100 with my credit card for the boot to he removed from my car. I did this under duress in order to leave a dangerous situation in which I was placed with two men (also unmasked during a pandemic) in a dark parking lot at night as a young woman. An employee from East Side King came out to yell at the men and tell me this is a scam and that these people pretend to be city parking officials and steal peoples money. There was no indication I was parked illegally. I went into the restaurant for all of 30 seconds to pick up my food and they sat in their car waiting to strike. My car was already booted when I returned. This is predatory, criminal, and left me fearing for my safety so I did what I had to do to get out of the situation. Leaving me without the money I need to make it to my next paycheck. Please stop these people.
