I was put in touch with Benjamin's Business Concepts LLC through Angi's List. I was told and they advertise a free quote for landscaping project on website www.bbcatx.net. *****, the salesman, came out to my house twice to bid a landscape project--the second visit was at *****'s request, not mine. The project was for the front and backyards and the total cost was quoted at $40,000. At the second visit, ***** suddenly and had additional representatives of the company show up at the last minute when asking for the check. I felt pressured to write a check requested by them for $24,210 (1/2 of the quote). Due to the size of the check, I immediately had to transfer some funds into my checking account to cover it . However, the company did not allow time for the transferred funds to clear. The bank returned the check but did not charge me a fee because they saw the funds had been transferred and it was a timing issue. As I considered later how I had been pressured into the check, I did not feel comfortable with this company and notified them I did not want to proceed with the project. At this point only 2 visits (for advertised free quotes) and one computer generated picture of my house (which was incomplete and erroneous regarding the current landscape) and without ANY proposed changes had been sent to me by text. I did not request this picture. When I informed ***** in writing I did not want to do business with them, they informed me I had accumulated $1897.22 in expenses and planned to invoice me. I have attempted to resolve this with them in writing. Their response has been to bully me into doing business with me and told me the charges would be waived if we could just continue doing business. When I continued to refuse and notified them I would be reporting them and getting my lawyer involved, the salesman, *****, informed me they have "spoke with the ************************ at the *************************** We are pressing charges against you."Business response
