This company is adding surcharges to all card transactions. A surcharge is any fee added at the end of a transaction to recoup transaction fees. My total bill was ****** and in between my items a card processing fee of **** was added for using my debit card. According to law surcharges are legal to add on credit card purchases. The ****** amendment, POS systems such as Clover, and **** cards policies all state you cannot do this. I confronted the business about this and tried to inform them. What started as a civil conversation turned into a bit of a heated argument from the owner after providing documentation to which I left.
