We went in to Verizon in August 2023 and they told us the towers were operational in the Zephyr and Mullin area and sold us a Verizon wireless phone and internet plan. We had service in Brownwood - but had no service in our hometown of Zephyr and at our farm at Mullin. Verizon continued to tell us that the service was there, but they were experiencing problems. We were patient for three months and still had no service. Finally after complaining for three months that we were paying for a service that we were not receiving - Verizon admitted that the towers were not operational due to needing work and that it may be 6 to 9 months before we would have service in our home at Zephyr and at the farm in Mullin. Towers in the Brownwood area were operational - but that did not help our needs. We cancelled our service and went to another provider and a month later my debit card was charged $93 dollars and I went into Verizon and complained that were had been out a lot of money for a service that we did not receive and I felt like they should at least return the $93 that just received. I explained that we were mislead and lied to for three months and then a month after cancelling we were debited $93 and this complaint was ignored. So I signed onto my account and cancelled my debit card and then a month later I was billed $497 for a phone that was not working and another monthly charge. I called Verizon Customer Service and told them how I had been lied to and mislead and I felt like Verizon should refund some money and cancel this $497 charge. I was told by Customer service that I did not have to pay the $497 and I would not be refunded any money paid and that they would sent a prepaid box to our home address and we could ship the bad phone to the Verizon Whare House - this all happened in November2023. I never received the prepaid box. Then in June 2024 Verizon messed my credit up by claiming no payment of $497. My credit score dropped 80 points. I want that corrected!!Business response
