Patriot Foundation Repair in Bullard TX gave us and estimate on foundation repairs. We gave them a 50% deposit to do the work. Unfortunately we found additional issues with the house and were unable to continue with the project. The house had to be torn down. We notified Patriot about the issues and told them we would not be needing their services. The owner told us via text messages, which we have , that they would refund the deposit. After two and a half months of telling us they would refund the deposit they have yet to do so. They are now ignoring any communication from us about the refund.Business response

We did tell this customer we would try to get his deposit back. He was told that by our general manager **** ********. Our policy is normally the deposits are non refundable. I will be willing to go back and see if we still have hard copy receipts for materials that were purchased and see what the cost was and we maybe able to refund whatever the total is after the material cost. We sat on that material for two weeks prior to the start date and then he canceled. Also if you are going to have an engineer come and Evaluate your house’s structural integrity. After you sign contract for foundation repair. And the engineer says tear house down. This is the totally backwards from how it should be done. A structural engineer should have been called first. So patriot will be willing work with customer. But as stated **** was mistaken and uniformed on the policy of the deposit and refunds.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:
To my knowledge I was never given a contract that said deposits are non- refundable. If you can produce a signed copy I’m happy to look at it and if I’m wrong I’m happy to except the proof. However the salesman told me in texts that he would refund the deposit. After a few attempts trying to get a response, Patriot stopped communicating with me.
It was explained to me that the existing concrete pads would need to be leveled to correct the issue. I’m not sure what additional materials had to be ordered, but I would like to see the invoices for the materials.I would be happy to look at what Patriot thinks is a fare offer on a refund.
