Danny ******** bid a little over $24.000 to chip out and resurface my pool, replace pool tile and resurface and paint my deck and patio. He requires payment in three installments before each segment of work is done. Tile work and chipout was messy with lots of delayed scheduling but it was completed. I paid him $16,000 before deck work began even though only $6,000 or so of the work was finished. However, his deck subcontractor accessed my property without my knowledge, with a key I had given Danny, used materials I specifically said, in writing, not to use, and did considerable damage to the exterior of my home. He also made a complete mess of my deck surface and patio surfaces, even though he was advertised by Danny as someone who could do just as good a job as Sundek which is the very reputable company that did my original deck (well over 1000 square feet). I later found out danny William’s deck sub had been fired from Sundek for stealing, Danny came to see the mess that his contractor made and apologized profusely and told me he would make it right to please trust him. He called Sundek out and told them he wanted them to fix the deck fiasco that his sub had caused however, once he got the bid from Sundek, he quit returning my calls. Then he started making false claims that I breached the contract The truth is that his subcontractor did not grind out any of the existing surface before he poured cement down as specified in the contract so the contract was breached by ******** company.. and I absolutely do refuse to let his dishonest contractor back on my property due to the damage he did to my home, his unauthorized access of my property, and his disregard about use of materials I said not to use. This is in addition to the belligerent, disrespectful and frightening way that he treated me when I asked him to stop the damage he was doing. I need money to repair the damage to the exterior of my home caused by his subcontractor, about $3200- $4000. I need my money back for the part of the job that has been paid for and not properly completed according to the contract specifications which is about $8000 to $10,000 then I need additional money to excavate entirely the work that his subcontractor did on the deck so someone else can just start over, So I need about $20,000 to $23,000 just to get back to square one. My 90 year old husband had just been diagnosed with stage four cancer when Mr. ******** started the work and he assured me that he would take care of every detail so that I wouldn’t have to worry about anything …instead it has been an absolute nightmare and has been harder to deal with than the cancer!Customer response

Mr. ******** even offered to plaster my pool for free … this is listed at $8000 on the contract… after this situation happened with my home and deck and he admitted liability for the damage done. And filed a claim with his liability insurance but he “has coverage issues” they say. However, I refused his offer, not wanting to risk any more damage due to a few other mishaps by his subs. I think this offended him and at that point he started avoiding and refusing my calls and later changed his story about what happened and said “I wouldn’t let his workers finish”… Well, no you can’t “finish” over a botched job since the grinding of the existing surface which is both part of the contract and vital to surface stability, was never done. This is in addition to the considerable damage done to the exterior of my home by his deck sub..
Sadly, although his other subs are nice guys, they use old and often broken equipment and take very little care of the surrounding property.. a running pressure washer was placed in my flower bed right on top of my expensive plants “to keep it from jumping”, the curb was broken off coming into my driveway by allowing their heavy trailer to go over it sideways, spilled cement coating mixture was left all over my colored concrete driveway, hoses were old and full of leaks sbd left stains on driveway and they even had to borrow some of my tools and hoses due to their non-working equipment. Once he sells you the job, Danny ******** doesn’t return to supervise the subs. He just lets them do it however they choose and all his pre-contract promises about careful prep work and so on go out the window…as he’s not even there anymore…and often doesn’t know when they are even on your premises..

Better Business Bureau:
This letter is to inform you that ******** Pool Company has carried out to my satisfaction the resolution it proposed for my complaint, filed on 8/2/2023 and assigned ID ********.
Regards,
However, we are now in the process of resolving our issues. By early next week we will have a signed agreement and Mr. ******** has agreed to make installment payments which will cover the damages, excavation of the faulty work, and my overpayment on the contract for work not completed.
Is it possible to please remove my review now that we are entering into a resolution of the issues? I would very much like that now that we have come to an agreement…
Sincerely, Lena *****
