Dallas Dent was hired to replace the front windshield of our ***** Suburban and repair hail damage to our vehicle. This was performed by utilizing our vehicle's insurance.The total cost paid through insurance was $4313.35 Geico Claim ID: ******************* They picked up our vehicle for repair on 1/20/24. The vehicle was returned to us on 2/5/24 without the windshield replaced, but the hail damage was fixed. The windshield was replaced later that month at my wife's job (Fleet Feet **********); however, after the windshield was replaced, the Apple Car play stopped behaving properly.We contacted them numerous times to schedule an appointment to get this working again, with no intent to schedule an appointment to fix the issue. Text messages were exchanged on:3/24/24, 4/4/24, 4/8/24, 4/10/24 It was relayed that they were looking to get a calibration shop in Ft. ***** scheduled to fix the issue, but a commitment from them was never be made.Business response

We will be happy to take a look at this issue for you however Apple CarPlay does not have anything to do with cosmetic hail repair or windshield replacement. We have confirmed this with multiple glass companies including Safelite and Optic Kleer. We sublet windshield work to these third parties because we are not a glass company. Your insurance company did not pay for the windshield replacement on your claim. You can see that the windshield was notated as prior damage (rock chips) by your insurance company, on the copy of the estimate that you provided. We paid a third party to replace this windshield for you at your request, as a courtesy to you. Please give us a call or send us an email to set up a time for us to take a look at it for you.
