I had my movers move my items into Go Store It in June. After checking behind the movers after the move was complete, I smelled urine. I heard a bag moving in one of the units at the end of the hall, and I assumed it could have been someone possibly living in one of the units. I then went downstairs and advised the staff that my floor smelled of urine and I heard someone moving in one of the units on the hall near mine. I told them to please inspect as someone could possibly be living in one of the units. I was assured that was not the case by the staff. I returned to my unit approx. 4 months later with my movers to vacate my unit. I cannot began to describe the horror of finding rat/mice ***** matter and urine all over my boxes and furniture. There were also rat droppings covering the floor of unit. I was completely disgusted and horrified and so were my movers. They were not willing to move my furniture initially, as my unit and items were possibly infested and this could cause an infestation to the other furniture pick up their company had scheduled. I then went down and spoke with the front office who's only advise was to file a claim if my belongings were damaged. There was no consideration provided for the infestation of mice in the ******** learned I was not the only tenant that has complained. As I returned to my unit, I observed mice droppings outside other units as well. Apparently my unit was/is not the only unit infested. I then called back to the front office and requested the name and contact for the ** *******************. I was advised his contact could not be provided and my information would be passed on to him to discuss the matter. I have not since been contacted by the office or the General Manager. I have since called the front office to follow up on a call back. I was told the office has spoken to the ** and he was in CA on business and would call at some point. No one has contacted me yet. To pay $150/ month for an infested unit is absurd.

We have been renting a storage here since 4/1/2023. We last visited our storage on July 21, 2023 when we discovered that our storage had been burglarized. Our unit had visibly been tampered with and clearly shows that management does not follow security protocol. Prior to the July 21st visit, we had also visited May 11th, 2023 and our items were still there. Management accesses inside our storage unit without our consent. We aren't even able to access our unit anymore without management keys. Apart from the burglary, most if not all of our items have been contaminated by pests. There are rat droppings all throughout our unit and on top of items. We are seriously concerned for health hazards from rat urine and droppings on our property. There was also a decomposed rat near our furniture that was swept with a broom but never cleaned properly to disinfect items. This is a serious health hazard and all management says is that pest control is coming, however, the problem persists and only seems to be getting worse. Management has made no attempt to contact us to try and find a resolution. The front desk employee only advises us that we file an insurance claim for stolen items, but nothing has been done for the pest contamination that has ruined our items. Despite assurances made during the rental agreement regarding the presence of robust security measures, it has become apparent that these claims were either overstated or completely disregarded. Details discussed with employees point to inside job (employee stealing from units). As a paying customer, we are asking for restitution for our stolen property AND items ruined and contaminated by their pest problem.
