Hello, my name is ********************************* I have lived at the Gardens of Denton for going on five years now my previous apartment was apartment number **** on the 400 side. When I moved into said apartment, I filled out the apartment checklist as far as what damages were existing upon my move-in date and turned it in. one of those items on that list Was the countertop and that it was broken into four different pieces in front of the kitchen sink. now near the end of my lease I had dropped my frying pan and it bounced off that section of broken countertop (which was put back together using shims by apartment maintenance prior to my move in date) and it knocked the shims out from under the damaged portion of the counter causing the pieces to come loose and fall to the floor. At this point i took a picture of it and submitted the work request for someone to come by and put new shims in place of the old ones that fell out (which they never came by and did, I actually had to go buy some and put it back together myself). Anyways, theyre telling me that they dont have my checklist that I 100% filled out and turned in which means that someone misplaced/lost it. I understand it is not the current management teams fault that my paperwork was lost seeing as how I turned it into a management team that is no longer working at the gardens of Denton. Now all that being said my current management team is trying to charge me for the entire broken countertop saying that its my responsibility.. even though the damage was existing, reported, and never taken care of prior to me moving out. So I feel that I should not be responsible for paying damages towards this situation. *** spent a month an a half trying to reach out to some sort of supervisor over my management team and all my emails are getting ignored or theyre getting forwarded back to my complex management. Nobody is wanting to help me and Im out of optionsBusiness response

I am writing to complain about a customer service issue I have experienced with the Gardens of Denton apartment complex. My experiences have been time consuming, disrespectful, and extremely unacceptable. I have been going back and forth with Megan at the Gardens of Denton for a few months. I hope you can help me find a solution to my issue. I have been trying to get my administrative refund check mailed. I have provided a timeline of my customer service experiences with Megan T******* and her supervisor, Joanne B**** below: 8/4- My application was denied @ the Gardens of Denton. 8/9-I contacted Joanne B**** about getting my refund. She referred me to Megan. 8/9-Megan informed me it would take a few weeks to get the refund. 8/26-I called to get an update on the check. Megan told me the check would be cut during the week. She told me to contact her after 9/2 if I did not receive the check. 9/20-I did not contact the office until 9/20. I called to speak with Megan but M****** answered. She informed me they will have to see what is going on and would get back with me soon. 9/28-I reached out to Joann B**** because neither M****** nor Megan returned my calls. Ms. B**** never responded to my inquiry. 9/29-Megan sent an email saying she was trying to get an update. 10/4-I reached out again to try to get an update because Megan never gave me a response from my 9/29 inquiry. She said she was trying to get an update. 10/5-Megan wrote to tell me accounting confirmed they are sending a check during the week. Megan said she would watch for the check. TODAY 10/14/2022- I sent Megan a message requesting an update. It has been a week since the check was supposed to be mailed. TODAY 10/14/2022 @ 2:09PM-Megan informs "she actually just requested an update." As you might imagine, I am exhausted and quite confused by the deplorable level of customer service.Business response
