I rented a vehicle from 04.26.2024 - 04.28.2024. I received the in poor condition (dirty, bad odor, one of the back handles was broken and the a maintenance light was on). I was told the light was due to a sensor that needed to be replaced. I took the car anyway I wasnt too concerned. I had about a 2 hour drive and Im about half way to my destination and I keep hearing this noise coming from the car, maybe the tire area. I was there for a wedding just for the weekend so I was pretty pressed on time. Called to see if they could swap the car and they said they could the next day. I had a wedding and would not have had enough time to drive 2 hours to swap out the car. I told them it was okay and I just drove extra cautious. This is just icing on the cake. My real concern and reason for reaching out is because I have not received my $150.00 deposit back. I have contacted them numerous times and they have been very rude and unhelpful to me most of the times. Sometimes they are very nice and say I will try and figure this out but they never follow up or actually help. They just keep giving me the same run around, they are just nice about it. Most time they are rude and disrespectful. Im exhausted and frustrated and dont really know what to do at this point. I hope you all can help in some way. I know $150.00 is not a lot of money but its the principle, especially considering the condition or the car and their poor customer service. I made a car rental booking with RideNow Rent-A-Car through ********* on May 21, 2024. I paid $90.51 for the actual rental and also paid $150 refundable deposit. I have since contacted the car rental company multiple times to get my deposit back. It was stated in the receipt that the deposit is for tolls, fuel charges, or any ticket violations. We returned the car with the exact amount of fuel we received it in. We went through NO tolls. We never received any parking or moving violations. Therefore, I am entitled to receive my $150 deposit back. I have been contacting the rental car company and I either get no answer, get hung up on, or I get transferred to the "accounting" department that never answers. I have already filed a complaint with PayPal to received my deposit back. The car rental agency told PayPal they will issue my deposit back but I have yet to receive it. I have looked up this company's reviews on yelp and ******* They are fraudulent, as other people have reported this same issue. I only want my $150 deposit back.Initial Complaint

I rented a car from RideNow, also known as ACO Rent a Car on March 8th, 2024. It was advertised to me via ******, a discount travel booking service online. Upon renting the car, I was asked to pay a $150 deposit for gas, toll/red light infractions, etc, which I did. Upon returning the car on March 11th, 2024, they told me that my deposit would be refunded to me within 7-10 business days following the car's check in the following day, March 12th, 2024. I have since not received this refund, nor have I received any kind of follow-up after calling the company about it numerous times over the past nearly 2 months. The ****** reviews of this website (found by searching "aco rent a car ******** substantiate my experience, as multiple other customers have similar complaints of refusal to return the deposit, seemingly deliberately.Initial Complaint

on Jan 9th, I rented a vehicle for two weeks from Aco Rent a car, I paid the amount of $560.81 which included a incidentals deposit of $150.00. I returned the vehicle on the agreed date of Jan 22nd and had them inspect the vehicle while I was there. They said the vehicle was good and didn't make any damage claims. After a month of waiting I contacted their support in regards to the return of my deposit and they claimed that it had be processed and would show in my account in the next few days. When I didn't see the return of the deposit I attempted to follow up with them but each time I was given a number that rang until a voice mail picked up and I left several messages with no response from their support staff.Initial Complaint

I rented a car from this company and they have not returned my security deposit in spite of my multiple phone calls, emails, and texts, and the fact that no damage was ever claimed and the gas tank was returned full. They have referred me to their "accounting" department but I have never been able to speak to anyone in that department about the issue. I do not believe this is a legitimate company. I would like a refund of the $50 deposit.Initial Complaint

Rented a car from this company December 10th and returned it December 16th. I paid $287.39 total and per the contract there was a $150 refundable deposit included in the price. I was told I would receive the deposit a week later... 2 months later I haven't received anything and every time I call they try to avoid giving me an answer. They have a multiple phone numbers and it seems like the same person answers in most lines and always says he will have accounting call me back. When I looked up the business I saw several other complaints saying the same thing. This business needs to be shut down.Initial Complaint

This Company should clearly be shut down. Long story short, they did not provide the refundable deposit back as promised. I returned the car as agreed. I rented in Aug 2023 and they do not answer calls, answering service answers and forwards you to an imaginary accounting department. No refund yet and I dont think they will ever adhere to their agreement and return it. Its sad that they let businesses like this continue. Clearly we are all having same complaint.Initial Complaint

I rented a car from this company in September, was told I would receive my refund after 15 business days as well as my Uber ride to the airport as there was no shuttle service. After the 15 days I started calling inquiring about my refund. On October 16th I received a text stating I would get my refund! I continue to call every week and continue to get the run around and placed on hold as well as being hung up on! Someone by the name of ***** or ******* told me he was working on it, however I still have no refund 3 months later!Initial Complaint

On September 13, 2023, I rented a care from ACO rentals doing business as Ride Now Rent a Car. The rental was for three nights, I paid the cost for the rental and $150.00 as a deposit for incidentals. I returned the car on the September 16, 2023 and based on my contract should have received the refund/return of the deposit of USD $150.00 within 15 business days. After several calls and texts, I have not received my refund. It is clear that this company is operating unscrupulously and I need your help in having my deposit returned.Initial Complaint

Gave Aco ************* also known as Ridenow Rental ****** as refundable deposit on June 22, 2023, DFW airport. Returned car June26, was told that full refund would be credited back to debit card within 14 business days. 3 months later still waiting for refund. Have called numerous times, get the run around, its coming, accounting department is handling it, check will be mailed, etc. last time I called, said company is based in *********,dont know when refund is coming. Ive talked t CheapO air, the agency I made reservations thru, they said they are working on it, havent heard back yet. Im not giving up! My CheapOair booking # ********, car confirmation #S1TL0E223.
