This business is a place where you go to play bingo. I had an encounter with a random customer (like myself) that I didn't know due to someone else's negligence. Usually, I will sit at a table off to myself when I visit. But, for a few weeks I had been making the decision to sit at a table next to a lady named XYZ so that I could be closer to the caller and could see the TV screen at a better angle. Note: I only know XYZ from visiting their Ridgewood location, but have been playing bingo at both their Town East and Ridgewood locations for over 71/2 years. One day, I came in to play bingo and something told me "not" to sit at the table next to XYZ due to her consistent complaining about other people and what they are doing. And as a result of her excessive complaining, I got verbally attacked by another customer because the customer got me confused with XYZ instead. When the customer realized she was attacking the wrong person she stopped speaking to me and left me alone (offering no apology). But, by then we had already exchanged words with each other. And, when I attempted to speak to the staff about it, no one would listen nor offer a solution to the problem. I disagree with how my complaint was handled. I do not wish to speak to anyone that call themselves an assistant manager, or manager, especially Renee T***** (not sure about the last name, but the first name is definitely correct). Renee is rude, she doesn't listen, and she offers no solution to any problem from what I have seen over the years. Renee was not there when I got attacked so she cannot say what did, or did not happened. I have also had a prior conversation w/her unrelated to this situation a year or so ago, and her memory is not all there. She thinks she is right all of the time. I am requesting a call back from the person(s) over Renee T*****, and all staff to better resolve my complaint. I will also disclose the name of XYZ (person at fault) to the owner if needed. The complaint was mailed to the bingo hall instead of the post office box on file. Thank you so much for being a valued customer for the last 7 ½ years. It is customers like you that help keep the doors open during these pandemic times and contributes to the non-profit bingo charities. So sorry to hear about your encounter with a fellow customer. Customers are welcome to sit anywhere they desire and reserving tables/chairs would be a violation. Ridgewood Bingo’s seating capacity is 500 so that leaves quite a choice on where to sit. The Police Officer on duty would have handled your issue if asked. Renea T***** is the manager and handles complaints regarding the conduct of bingo and not necessarily the conduct of customers. It’s sad to say but some people (customers) never apologize for their harsh words or their behavior no matter if they were right or wrong.
