I was having transmission issues with my vehicle so I took it in to Buck's transmission where he said he could fix it. He also messaged me about an oil leak i had that my husband had been unsuccessful in the past to fix it, but ****** said they could fix it knowing my husband had tried multiple of times. Well they had charged me $4,201.78 to rebuild the transmission and fix the oil leak. When my car was ready they told me that they were unsuccessful on fixing the leak but were still going to charge me for the parts they used even though it did not fix the leak. He discounted me $200 which brought my price down to that $4,201.78 price, but again the oil leak was never fixed. After using my car for less than 24 hours it started to mess up again and would not shift properly, we then got a code that the transmission was messed up so I took it back to Buck's where he stated he fixed it again but the same exact issue happened again with the same exact transmission code errors. ****** has admitted in a message that he DID NOT rebuild my transmission he just fixed something else with the transmission. I was charged for a transmission REBUILD not just fix a part here and there to get the car running for a few miles only. I have called ****** in regards to the car not shifting again and they have yet to respond back or answer my phone calls. I know for a fact that his work phone is connected to his cell phone because he responded back to me at 8:17pm one night.

      To whom It May *******************

We are a small town shop that has been in business for 27 years, we pride ourselves on customer care.

We do have trouble with vehicles sometimes, anyone that works on vehicles will tell you the same thing. one vehicle will repair perfectly and the next will fight you all the way.

We do gladly honor our warranty in our shop.  We tried to take care of *************,  with the same care we offer all our customers from big jobs to smaller jobs.  We would still be happy to honor our warranty, unfortunately we could not meet her demand for a rental car to be provided to her.  She has refused to bring the car back to our shop for us to have the opportunity to. We have done repairs for ************* in the past with no issues, this vehicle is just having issues that are out of our control. But we would have continued and will continue to correct the issue .

The ***** came in initially for a transmission failure, and oil leak.  The transmission failure was isolated to a torque convertor, front pump and wear on 235798K mile unit.. the oil leak was determined to be a rear main engine oil seal.

Customer notified, she told us her husband had replaced seal for oil leak twice. We pulled unit and found that the crank shaft on the engine has end play (shaft is moving/walking back and forth causing the seal to leak. Customer was notified that vehicle would need and engine to stop this problem.  ************* was not charged for this repair, ( please see attached invoice, no seal billed and labor price discounted off invoice).Refused engine repair.

Technician tore down transmission and ordered parts. Parts are taking longer and are harder to find  in todays current market than in pervious times. So sometime we have a  time delay on parts and availability.

We rebuilt transmission and replaced all damaged components  and a new torque convertor, attached copies of  receipts for all  for parts.  Electrical components are not included in a standard rebuild. ******* drove  correctly. We delivered vehicle. This vehicle was completely rebuilt.

The vehicle returned to us with issues, upon inspection we found our new torque convertor had failed. One of the main transmission parts distributors(our  parts supplier) in the country was has massive failures with these convertors. So much so that they had been **** named in the industry as "the blue bomb".  Transtar warrantied this convertor for us with a GM torque convertor, attached statement form Transtar.  We flushed unit and went through valve body to make sure all valve where working correctly and not  sticking with the fine metal from the convertor failure.   ******* dove correctly on test drive , approximately ***** miles. ******* was delivered to customer.

After around  150 miles customer stated vehicle messed up again...   We asked for it to be brought in immediately. Customer brings it back, immediate inspection found TECHEM failure ,due to metal contamination. this is the component we didn't initial replace , the reason she states we did not do a rebuild unit completely..  This part is NOT replaced normally, only on failure,  they are an  electrical component and quite costly., so to keep cost down for customer. Shops only replace when needed.   We ordered TECHEM and replaced and called programmer to program new part.   All at no charge to customer. See attached receipts.

Customer states the unit is messing up, We ask her to bring it back, she refused unless we provide rental

We do not like nor can we predict which units give ** problems, but we will always stand behind our warranty.. This customer has been belligerent with ** over the phone on more than one occasion. We have even spoken with her father, he's a mechanic in **********, he understood the issues. We dint nor will we stop until we have unit correct but we cant stand behind our work if we don't have the unit  at the shop to address it.

We have attached copies of all texts between our shop and customer and customers father. Receipts from all parts and also invoices from shop to customer, on this and previous repair. On another **** vehicle.  Included in attachments is a statement from the service writer in his own words.  A letter from our parts distributor on the failure rate and wait time on torque convertors.  Please feel free to contact us with any questions.

      Thank you,
