      Misleading is not strong enough to describe this company. Online description of grapefruit states it’s from Texas, where I was born and raised. My box & the gift I sent arrived from FL. The grapefruit is just an average pink grapefruit from FL like what’s available in the grocery store. Disappointed and embarrassed to have gifted this. When I contacted P&D, they replied that TX fruit is only available West of the Mississippi and must be ordered via phone, email or fax. But, the online description does not state this. It mentions only Texas farmers, Texas fruit, and the Rio Red TM product. They didn’t offer to refund my money or replace the product. They only offered to refer my concerns to the marketing department. Zero star review.

      An elderly friend sent us a box of Pittman & Davis pears as a Christmas gift. When we opened the box, all of the pears were rotten. We contacted Pittman & Davis, and they sent us a replacement box of pears, all but two of which were rotten. We had the identical experience with them last year, two boxes of spoiled pears. Because of his age, we are not telling our friend about the problem. He would be hurt to know that his money was poorly spent. We won't waste time telling the company about the problem again. Based on our experience, this is not a quality business.

      Pittman and Davis have CANCELED me. They BANNED me from ordering in the future because they've had to refund a few orders and they don't like my reviews. They refuse to publish my bad reviews. I've ordered about 10 times from them in the past year and a half. All have been for grapefruit except one order of pears. The pears were horrible. Usually, the grapefruit is decent, but I've had 2 bad orders. This last one they waited a whole month to send them to me because they said they wanted them to be ripe. When they arrived, half of them were completely moldy or almost moldy. The rest were misshapen and hard. You cut into them and they are completely dry, no liquid at all. I was so mad because I waited a long time for these and I thought they would be perfect since I had to wait so long. I threw every last one away. I had around 40 of them. I didn't dare put my family's health at risk. Then I placed another order and they email me and say they canceled my order but give no reason. The reason is because they don't want to return my money if they are bad but yet that is their guarantee. I threw them all away. There is no way I would let my family eat a grapefruit that was in a box with no air for over a week infested with mold. And then they punish me when I place another order. So, I'm going to do whatever I can to let people know how shallow and fraudulent this company is. They made a guarantee for money back if the order wasn't good. You don't send people moldy fruit. Don't buy from this company.

      Totally disappointed in the (turtle) chocolate Carmel pecan paws or what ever they call them. It’s not worth it. Did not taste good enough to keep, I trashed them. And don’t let the picture on the web site fool you like it did me. Looks nothing like those “large” chocolate pieces. What you see is not alway what you get! So disappointed You’re better off buying the original turtles that you can buy at the drugstore. If you can’t get the ****** ( it’s the next best replacement ) your best bet is ****** Turtles, in your local stores. I miss the ****** stores?? Wish I had checked the ratings before purchasing

      Really a zero star. Woke up today, Christmas morning, missing my Christmas grapefruit that was supposed to arrive December 14th. After called customer service on December 20th, they told me it would arrive that day or 21st. Did not receive. Since that time, roads bad, but that's after grapefruit was supposed to arrive, so no excuse.

      Ordered one thing and received another. Contacted customer service and all they would do is argue with me. They Said the Item is no longer available and they cant replace it because they don't know when it will be available again. I asked for a refund and she said she could put in a request but there is no guarantee that it will go through. If customer service has no guarantee of service whats the point of even having customer service if they don't have authority to provide customer service. This was a nearly $500 order, and they just lost a customer and referrals from this customer for life because they couldn't even guarantee a partial refund of a $29 item. If they retained this customer they could have gotten at least $500 worth of orders a year for the rest of my life (60 years? =$30,000) plus referrals. Their loss. guess a close competitor that charges more will be getting my business(Harry and David). also emailed customer service and never got a response, so had to call them.

      Placed order on 12/12/2021 for 2 gifts one delivered on 12/23/2021 other one has not been delivered. I have contacted this company 4 different times with no results. Do not order from them...

      Received a package as a gift from a wonderful family who spent money to send this package to me and half of the fruit is rotten. What a horrible customer service phone line as well. Held for 40 mins and got someone on the phone, starting explaining what was wrong and they put me on hold and back in the customer service loop only to do this again. What a waste of good time and money.

      I ordered 4 gifts on December 2. Only one was shipped to arrive on time. The response from customer service was to wait and see when it arrives, then call them back. They had no concern or care that the product I ordered would not be there in time for Christmas.

      I have tried to get a hold of this company for 2 days now through phone which I have been hung up on or transferred I dont know how many times, 2 messages have been left with the sales department for a call back and have left 2 emails. All I want to do is find out about my order that was suppose to be delivered last week. You never know what you are going to get sometimes in the past I have gotten grapefruit from Texas, Florida or California what ever they decide to send with half the orders having some rotten fruit in the box. They get a ZERO STAR.
