I don’t believe some of their practices are legal. They forced me to sign a contract that I did not want to. I had already paid for most of my dress weeks prior. They said they would keep my merchandise and it could not leave the store until I signed the receipt. The receipt stated I inspected the dress fully which I had not- and I just wanted to pay for it and take it with me. They refused and said I must sign the receipt stating I approve of the dress. Isn’t withholding my merchandise I paid for illegal? The employee then would not give me a copy of my receipt I had to ask her 3 times. It felt very shady and illegal.Business response

We apologize for any misunderstanding — it is our standard practice to ask all customers to sign a pick up ticket stating that they are taking their merchandise home. This is how we typically confirm and release merchandise. The pick up ticket has a general statement requesting that the customers sign off on its current condition because we sometimes have gowns purchased off the rack where the dress is sold as-is and we are not responsible for anything that is altered outside of our store. The team has been informed and will not hold any merchandise even if a customer refuses to sign off on it for whatever reason moving forward, but this was never a contract and more-so a confirmation of pick-up for our records. My apologies again for any misunderstanding.
