This business is advertised as a sewing retreat for a weekend. My friends and I booked this location from 4/26-4/28. When we arrived it was still dirty (linens/dishes/floors). The owner did come and clean later. The entire facility did not have running water for over 9hrs over night. After the owner was notified she stated oh sorry, we will contact the well guy when asked for an ETA I received no response and still havent. I decided to go to the local Best Western for night because out of the 6 bathroom stalls only 3 had functioning doors and there were 10 people that *** need to use the facilities that couldnt flush and no water to wash hands. The water was restored around 9am after another person called/texted the owner (who didnt respond). Then there was a random beeping in a room that couldnt be explained. The place looks like it should be condemned. Im not even sure they have proper licensing. I have asked for a refund with no response at all. Another friend called and spoke with the husband that said He said they are typing up an email to send to you They are only offering us a free night on the end of our stay next time And he said well, it's your fault you didn't pack up and just leaveTerrible service and broken down facility that should not be allowed to do business. We each paid $130 and should receive a refund for that. No running water is unsanitary.Business response

We deeply regret any problems this customer or group had while enjoying our retreat facility and we will diligently work to improve our customer service. The facility is a common work/overnight facility in the country for quilters and craft persons. The facility meets all local requirements for operation.
The well facilities did go down and the repair crew was contacted within 10 minutes of the report of the water failure. The repair crew does not operate on a 24 status but did arrive and make repairs first thing on Saturday morning.
As explained to members on the group offers of compensation in kind will be made to the representative of the group not to individual members. Our obligation is to the person contracted as the group representative who paid for the service not each individual member.

I purchased what I was told was a complete quilt kit. When I opened the package I found it was about five yards short. When I contacted the store owner she told me she would refund my purchase but had to send it back. I asked if she would pay postage since it was their fault and she agreed. This was over two weeks ago. They will not answer my emails. There has been no communication. The postage was $19.79 and I want it paid to me. Thank you.Business response

Waiting on address to send refund. Refund issued as of today - received mailing address from BBB.
