I had a lease with Dorel Apartments in Laredo during May 2021-September 2021. I was in Laredo for business reasons working on a remodel project for the college. I finished the job at the beginning of August and was moving on to another city for work. I checked out with the office - broke the lease and paid the required amount before departing. That was the end of communication from Dorel Apartments, until I recently had my credit reviewed for a home mortgage and found out that I have a collection filed on my credit from Dorel Apartments. I then began trying to call the apartment complex- they are very difficult to get on the phone. I finally got someone and she said she would send an email to corporate and I should hear back from them soon. This email never came. I tried calling the apartment complex again, relentlessly on 2/9/2022- I finally got ahold of someone. I explained the issue and asked for the corporate number so I could get this resolved due to the fact that I had never received ANY communication from Dorel Apartments or any credit agency about trying to collect from me. I did not even know how much I still owed or who the collection agency was. The girl that I spoke with said the the corporate office does not have a phone number for me to contact, and an apartment manger was not in but would contact me on Friday, February 11th 2022. This person had no information of who the credit agency was that I could contact all she could tell me was that the amount I still owed was $225 dollars. On Friday the 11th I did not get a call from a manger. I called the office again on Saturday Feb 12th- the office manger is still not in. I would like to clear any issue up but I do not know who the credit agency is to contact, can not get a corporate phone number to call, and can not get the manger of Dorel Apartments to call me back with any information. I would like for my credit report to be cleared if this issue but I can not get any answers.Business response

Hi ******,
My staff and I have already spoke to ****************** multiple times on the phone and I emailed him 02/14/22 the original account statement that was sent to him on 08/25/2021. I have attached the final account statement. He is responsible for the balance due. He broke his lease and is/was responsible for the amount due. What do you need from me? I am unsure of what I need to submit other than the final account statement.
