I called for emergency extractions and to discuss dentures. Over the phone I was told that the cost for the appointment would be approximately $179. When I arrived, I was quoted the same price. I offered to pay prior to being called back. I was told I could pay on my way out. They took one x-ray and I was quoted about $13,000 but not given a quote for immediate extractions needed. I have exposed pulp and teeth that urgently need to be removed. I pointed out that this was about $10,000 more than I was quoted by them five years ago for the same service (full mouth extractions and dentures). I did not find this cost to be reasonable and asked the staff member what the cost would be for all of this with the ******************** Plan. She then calculated the cost again and it came out to a total of $5098. The cost for all of this was written out on the Treatment Plan in hand writing by the staff member (attached as the physical copy I received in office). We made arrangements for a follow up appointment to give me time to secure the ******************** Plan and get a medical clearance from my doctor. On my way out the door, I was asked to sign a something regarding financial responsibility. I assumed this was for the cost of the consultation. I did not sign a paper. It was a electronic signature pad. They did not go over what I was signing. After signing this, the cost for the consultation jumped to $273 instead of the $179. As I left I noticed this receipt did not show the reason for the cost difference so I went back in and asked why the cost was almost $100 more. I was not given any explanation. I was overcharged. I canceled the next appointment at that time. After I got home, I was emailed the attached Financial-Arrangement-*************************.pdf. I have uploaded the physical copy I was given in office that bears no signature. I want a refund for wasting my time and for overcharging me. My trust in any future care was violated.

Due to the character limitations in the original complaint form, I would like to emphasize the points regarding the violation of trust and why Abbeville staff actions caused a hinderance to continuing with care due to dishonest practices. This is causing me to seek care elsewhere when I intended to put my trust in Abbeville and move forward. This is why I believe I am owed a refund. To clarify, the form that was sent to me via email was a signature that I signed while I was in the lobby checking out. Your staff rushed this process and made it seem like I was simply acknowledging that I would pay the consultation fee. It was after this that I was suddenly charged $100 more than I agreed to pay when I walked in for the appointment. These are a very dishonest and shady tactics.  Through your actions, I do not feel confident that I will receive ethical or honest treatment if I were to continue going to your clinic. Based on the points made, I did not receive any benefit from the money paid and I was charged more than was originally agreed upon despite no treatment during the consultation. The x-ray was supposed to be included in this consultation fee.

Patient came in for an emergency exam and xray. upfront estimae given was $179. During the exam the doctor ordered an additional xray bringing the costs to $273. Patient is aware that all quotes are estimates only. I attemtped to contact patient to refund the difference quoted to her in attempts to satisfy the patient as soon as I was aware of any dis-satisfaction and she was unreachable. I went ahead and refunded the overage which was a difference of $94.00. Her treatment plan estimates are currently still at $13,233 due to her not providing any insurance or discount plan information. The written estimates on her copy of treatment plan were dependant on her purchasing a discount policy. If patient purchases said policy then her prices will go down. Attempted to reach out to patient and advise of refund and see if she would like to get scheduled and the patient was unreachable.

I will accept the difference as a refund. There was a single type of x ray done, not additional types of x rays. The dental assistant took a second of the same type of x ray that she said wasn't necessary after the fact. I have never been charged an additional fee within the consultation fee when dentists take x rays, regardless of how many or how many types and I was not told at any time that a single type of x ray would cost more. I would not have agreed to this. I also expect my x ray records to be available upon request because I am out $200 for this visit and feel that the service was dishonest. Please keep all communication in writing. You have my email and address. Due to the nature of this complaint, I cannot rely on a verbal exchange. If the difference is refunded, the issue should be resolved and there should not be any reason for further communication. I have to confirmed that the refund was issued. If for any reason, the refund is not reflected on my account, I will open a new complaint.

I don't do business like this.

Went in to get a permanent crown put in and the dentist instructed me that she was going to numb me and take off the temporary to examine the tooth since I was experiencing pain and may need a root canal I leaned back and she stabbed me in the lip on the opposite side of my mouth apologized said she would give me a minute then never came back into my room to check on me again or continue service. I did not receive services they referred me to a specialist to check and see if I needed a root canal. When I asked for a refund, they told me that i would no longer be able to be a patient with them anymore and it would take 5-6 weeks to get my money back and my insurance returned. I cannot wait that long to have to go through the whole process of getting a crown again with another dentist. How they treated me is very unprofessional and I do not believe that "Dr, ******** should even have a license.
