We have paid every bill that Memorial Health System of East Texas has sent ** as of 10/17/2023. Some bills were raised after we had agreed on an amount. I want a receipt that says all amounts have been paid as of 10/17/2023. I am sending a copy of a bill that has already been paid like others that they are billing us for again with a copy of the cancelled check. They need to fix their billing system unless they wish to have this turned over to a regulatory agency.Business response

April 12, 2021 I had to have a heart monitor put on me. I receive a bill for $1,410.00 *************** paid I received a statement on April 27, 2021 for balance of $258.40. I paid this balance and showing on my bank statement, it came out of my account on June 1, 2021. June 22, 2023, I receive a statement saying I owe $51.30. I call and tell them I had paid in full. Later I get another bill so I called them August 22, 2023 and the lady tells me that they had audited all account that had been paid in full in ********************************************************* the correct amount. They are auditioning people who paid their bill in full? I said you might as well right bill off, yalls mistake because I have retired and no longer have that insurance. If they had billed the insurance right back in 2021, we would not have this problem. Are they basing the increase on 2021 prices or 2023 price which is when they audited. I told her looks like a way the hospital trying to recoup funds off of people that pay their bills in full. She said she would turn it in to see if they would write it off, but no guarantees. In the mean while I am still receiving statements from them. No one has gotten back with me on the situation We have perfect credit. We pay our bill. I am afraid that this will go against our credit. The lady said, Its only $51.00. Well its my $51.00 and I cant believe they would come back two and a half years later with this new charge.Business response
